I've had KP since I was in my early teens and only recently found out what it was. Now I'm twenty one and it is still having a hugely negative effect on my life.
I have kp on my arms, jaw line, butt and bad kp on my legs. I have serious body image issues because of it. I see girls in summer dresses on the street and it makes me so angry that I can't wear those things without people staring. I also have difficulty letting guys get close because of it.
I saw a dermatologist this spring who gave me a topical steroid which didn't work and the doctor cost a lot. Now I'm using Aveeno body lotion which helps a bit. I started electrolysis and LHR, but got discouraged and it's sooo expensive.
I have really hairy legs, but can't shave, because of the kp. I am very sensitive to most hair removal products, but I've seen some suggestions on this site that I might try out.
It's just so hard to get your hopes up with each new idea and then when it doesn't work or makes it worse I just feel so let down.
I know this post is long and a real downer, I guess I just want to hear from people who get it.

I'm sure you will find lots of different remedies to try and one or more may help you.

I know it can be disappointing when you try something new and it doesn't help you, but it is important that you keep your hopes up and keep on trying new remedies. It is possible KP has different causes, and that is why a product or remedy may help one person, but not another. Don't give up -- keep on trying until you find what works for you. When you do, let us know. If you have any comments or questions, or just need someone to listen to you, please post again.

Im really sorry to hear your having a bad day today, I am too (think its that time of the month again!) But try not to let it affect you so much, I know how bad it feels seeing others with perfect flawless skin! Oh the envy.. But one day.. through the "miracle" treatments.. it will fade, whether through time or treatments.

So try not to let it get you down and keep your chin up! I promise you . and anyone else who is reading - everyone has beautiful features, it's hard finding just one

Ps- Not sure if anyone else is like this- but there are so many "false hope" treatments etc, i have just started oil pulling, and will post again if i have positive treatments..

By the way, what method that you've already try now en how is the progress?

I try so many things back then, I went to so many dermatologist but never been cured.
I got so desperate that I even go to a beauty salon en went through for the radical way to get rid of my Kp. It was the stupidest thing I've ever done. They use some kind of chemical things to my kp en instead of making my kp go away, it left me so many mark like a burnout mark on my hand. En now, not only I have kp on my hand I also have so many brown mark in it. The kind of mark that you have when you get hurt. I regret it so bad.

Now I decided that I will do anything that I can to get rid of my kp, the safe way of course, en no more radical way.

I've read the thread, en now I'm doing oil pulling for almost two week.I think it's worth to try, it's safe en easy to do, at first I feel like throwing up but now I get used to it, it feel not bd. I haven't notice any change though, but I won't give up. I know that my kp won't go away in an instance. It is still along way to go.

En I'm also drinking apple vinegar en not eating dairy for three days now. Hopefully it will work out.

I know, I feel abit down en mad too when the method I use is not making any progress, that's why perhaps with join this forum we could motivate each other to keep trying to cure our kp.
It's so nice that we can talk en share with people that have the same problem, am I right?
