What Has Worked for me.
hi, Im new to this whole kp forum thing, but I thought I would join this site to kinda help in anyway that I can and hopefully find some useful things to help me.
I have KP allll over except on my shoulders and the bottom part of my arms. I have tried every single possible cream, lotion, anything you could think of i have tried in the past, and nothing really helped me. About five to six months ago.. I discovered AmLactin. It works miracles. I love that lotion.. you can get it at any store.. some places its over the counter, but at drug stores you can just buy it off the shelf like any regular lotion. I use the cream after I shower and I use the lotion at night when I dont shower. Just twice a day, and the bumps have almost completely flattened out, and my skin is ALOT smoother than it ever has been. I had a person come up to me the other day and grab my arm and then told me that my skin was really soft! Noone had ever said that to me before.. my boyfriend even tells me my skin is soft. The bumps are not completely gone, but they have flattened out. I still have bumps here and there, but they are not anywhere near what they used to be. Honestly though, I kind of blame the fact that I used to over do it with my skin. I do everything in moderation now. I take luke warm showers, and I dont scrub the heck out of my skin anymore. That may have helped I think. I am also going tanning despite the fact that I am horrified I will get melanoma or something. I went once the other day, and I am going to go again tomorrow. We'll see how that works. Maybe my skin will actually look normal again! Last edited by Elsa Zoe; 03-19-2008 at 12:07 AM. |

Did You Have It On Your Face Too? I Wonder If It Would Work The Same. I Have It On My Forehead, Cheeks And Chin.

Re: What Has Worked for me.
I have it on my cheeks too.. but I dont use that stuff (amlactin)on my face.. its too strong. For the most part.. I just use a washcloth with just water to wipe make up off, and then I just put either a fragrance and alcohol free cream on. I've found that generic brands work just as good as regular name brands.. I even use cortisone cream.. which works really well. I was told that the majority of my skin problems are related to overdoing it.. scrubbing.. hardcore soaps etc. just go out and start with that and see what works for you! Thats what I did.. I think different things work better for different people.
