shaving legs with kp
ive had kp as long as i can remember. the worst is on my arms and thighs. ive always had trouble with shaving my legs because they never get smooth and the razor seems to irritate it even more, so i stopped shaving my upper legs about six months ago. summers coming and im embarrassed to go in a swimsuit... any suggestions?

Ug I have that problem too. Not to mention I have a hard time getting at all the hairs and getting the shave close because of the uneven surface. Not to mention the ingrown hairs that always seem to spring up for me like a day after I shave.
I usually avoid shaving and go for the hair removal creams for sensitive skin. It helps avoid the irritation from shaving. But for me doesnt help the ingrown hairs issue. Not to mention even with perfectly shaved legs, mine are never smooth because of the bumps from the KP T_T But you should try hair removal creams like veet or nair, for sensitive skin. At the least, it'll avoid the irritation. |

Re: shaving legs with kp
Get your legs waxed. It's worth every cent. I had KP horribly on the backs of my thighs until I got sick of all the razor burn. It has helped so much I'm thinking about waxing the backs of my arms too = P

Re: shaving legs with kp
I've waxed my arms (including the upper, back of them) & it does seem to help.

Re: shaving legs with kp
I do use veet on my legs, and it does seem to have an exfoliating effect on my legs. The KP is not nearly as bad there as on the backs of my arms.
That said, I decided to use veet cream (for sensitive skin - blue packaging) on my arms, from my wrists to just below my shoulder. I will post back after a while and let you know how that impacts the KP. |

I can't use Veet. I have an allergic reaction to it. Even the sensitive skin kind. = (

Re: shaving legs with kp
i know a product called the silkymit, and it's a little glove thing and looks like sandpaper, but it exfoliates and removes the hair at the same time, and when the hair grows back it's suppose to be thinner.
it didn't work for me lol, it didn't remove the hair! but i know other people who use it and say it work. ![]() |

Re: shaving legs with kp
yes! i know about that product
. it does look like sandpaper. i have used it before, it does get rid of the hair for me, but not completely all and it left me with a stingy aftereffect. but funnily enough it works for my sisters in getting rid of hair and minor kps. they have mild/minor kps on their legs and they use the silkymit over time with the intention of getting rid of the hair, but it also got faded their kps. my kps is major on my legs, so silkymit didnt help =(silkymit is slightly time consuming to use too. but if anyone hasnt tried it yet, give it a try. may just work! ![]()
