Hey guys! I'm 13 and I've had KP for as long as I can remember... I don't really mind it, it's just really annoying when people ask "Ew what's wrong with your arms?", you know?

Well, anyway, are any of you embarrassed because you have KP? I'm just curious to see your responses.

I'm sure we're all fairly embarrassed. My friends and acquaintances at school have gotten used to it by now, but I got asked questions all the time in middle school and elementary school. I actually had people stop being my friends because of it (sad, right?). It's also bad because I associate with really extroverted and touchy people and I flinch every time someone touches my arms or face. Now I just sound like a whiner, but hey, we're all dealing with the same problems.

Yeah I know the feeling...I won't let me fiance touch my arms AT ALL! We've been together 4 years and he has only touched them a few times when the bumps were almost gone...but there back again of course...I won't wear t shirts...unless I'm havin a good day and the bumps are not that noticable...but I won't wear t shirts to school and stuff because I feel people are sitting too close and they will notice it...I sound like a whiner now too...

I try and tell myself that other people have much worse problems than bumos on their arms! like cancer or aids...and I shouldn't be such a cry baby about it!

I only got asked that when i was little but only by grown ups. Nobody cares when i was in school. I wore shorts n tanks and whatever i wanted and i didn't feel embrassed at all becuz no body cared. I have it on my legs n arms too.

I'm 21 now, but I was much more sensitive about my KP when I was younger. I'm one of the lucky ones, because the bumps and redness are only on the backs of my arms, but it's still unsightly. These days, I'm only embarrassed if someone asks me what's wrong with my arms-- but I'm not embarrassed for me, I'm embarrassed for whoever asked (for the last time, it's not sunburn!) I'm realizing more and more that so many people have no idea what KP is. That needs to change, or none of us will ever be totally comfortable wearing short sleeves, shorts, etc. in public.
