warm weather
Hi,
I guess we'd all agree that when the sun starts shinning you go through the mental torment of exposing your KP to the rest of the world, but also knowing that having a bit of a tan really helps. I have found using st tropez self tan really helps as a bit of a cover up. use the full range (the exfoliant is lovely and really smothes out the skin). If you build up the fake tan over a couple of days (warning you will look really tanned, but healthy!) the kp is much less visable. I also have a few stretch marks from my pregnacy and have found it also helps cover these up a bit. I'm not saying it gives complete cover up, but it does help |

imagine how it is like in a tropical country
Hi everyone...
I was so thrilled to find this wonderful website. Having Keratosis Pilaris since the age of 7 or 8, I haven't really got anyone to talk to (about my KP). I am from Singapore, a tropical country with essentially no cold weather. Somehow it appears to me that KP is really rare among Asians (cos I haven't seen anyone here having the same condition as me). Everyone here wears sleeveless or short-sleeved fashion in our hot and humid weather but I have always been the freak who sticks on to long-sleeve shirts in the sun! I know it is silly to be limited by KP but I just cannot help it. I am really very very self-conscious about it... |
