Lotions containing AHA's
I've been using a body lotion which contains Alpha Hydroxy Acids made by Gantineau and it really works. I would call my KP mild, the redness is more of an issue than bumps but I still have them. After about a month of using the lotion once a day after a shower, I found that the redness has really faded and the skin is perfectly smooth.
The lotion isn't made specifically for KP treatment but AHA's have a rejuvinating effect on the skin. You could use it twice a day, but the lotion moisturises skin so effectively well that its not really necessary! if you type in Gatineau body lotion with AHA into google there are a lot of sites that sell it. It's not the cheapest cream, but you get a lot for your money, just the one bottle has lasted for about 6 months and I don;t use it sparingly! hope this is helpful! |

That's great to hear! What kind of AHA does it have and at what concentration?

re: lotions with AHA's
The AHA's in the lotion are passion fruit AHA's, but the percentage isn't given. I think that all cosmetic products sold to the public have to have less than 10% of AHA's, so it should be below that. Maybe you could find out from Gatineau.
I should think the percentage is relatively low as I haven't experienced any smarting or tingling when I apply it and I have very sensitive and fair skin. |
