I'm eighteen, female, and recently discovered my private parts are covered all over in small, skin-coloured bumps. They do not itch (unless irritated); they are not pus-filled; they are not dry. I do not have an STD. It isn't a shaving rash. At first I thought it was from chafing/sweat rash so I've used things like moisturiser, powders for nappy rash, hydrocortisone creams, etc. But the bumps remain. I'm young, so I'm not too familiarised with what I'm actually supposed to look like down there. Is this normal? Could this be KP? (I have sensitive skin, suffer from things like excema... might have a little KP on my upperarms - but this doesn't look much like that.)

the pill
I have been on and off birth control over the past couple of years and I have been taking LoOvral now for like 4 months. I have had KP on my arms for as long as I can remember and while it was annoying the bumps were never red or irritated looking. About a month after I started on the pill again I got the KP bumps all over my back and shoulders (which I never had before) and because the weather was changing, it was getting to be the hot summer days, I thought I had acne. I went to my doctor and they thought it was acne at first too because the bumps looked like pimples. So I used a acne cream for a month before going back to the doctor and being told that it was the KP. SO now I have been using steriod creams of all different strengths to get these very red irritated bumps to go away and only to get a skin infection that actually spread to my chest! Now I am very frustrated but the antibiotic has cleared up most of the redness but not all of it...but I have KP on my chest, back and shoulders where I have never had it before.
