KP in the butt!

Hi!

I'm new here! I'm so glad that there's a forum that's solely dedicated to KP.

I haven't had the time to read all the posts here so I would like to know if anybody has suggestions on how to "cure" KP in the butt? I'm sooo embarrassed about it.

Thanks,

Mel

Hi I know exactly what you mean. I get so embarressed whenever somebody sees it - and it is so annoying when with a boyfriend . My KP has improved a bit though - I guess it's because of scrubbing, lotioning and eating less dairies and lots of vegetables - and no sugar/candy. But it is not gone...

I am also very new on this forum (and so happy it is here! ) - I found it yesterday and I have been reading a lot of old threads and found a lot of useful information. Try and read other threads - and see what have helped others with their KP - being on arms, legs or butts...

I hope you find something useful

Actually, that's one reason. I mean, I've had it for so long (and my sisters too), it never really bothered me. But when my boyfriend tried to put his hand somewhere there, , i just had to stop him

I have to read the threads thoroughly. i'm in dubai so the items that are posted mentioned there are not available here.

I'm trying to do the aspirin mask and find the extra virgin coconut oil (which is plentiful from where i came from-philippines) but isn't available here. sigh...

I know what you mean. I live in Denmark and haven't been able to find most of what has been mentioned here - like the extra virgin coconut oil for instance. I have ordered the BHA lotion from Paulas choice, since I found they have an internetshop in the EU (and here AHA has not been aproved and cannot be bought). But it has not arrived yet (ordered it two days ago).
I don't like to be shocked by taxes, so I chose to order from the EU instead of the US. I also just bought a regular coconut oil. But have only used it for a day, so cannot really tell if it is working. It makes my skin very soft though...

But yeah - I know the "hate when he touches me there". I also used to have some sort of acne on it, but it disappeared when I started taking a birth controle pill called Diane Mite which is a brand for people with acne. I don't know if it helped my KP - it has been so long since I started taking it, but it didn't make it worse, I would have noticed that...
I hope you find a cure for your KP, and hopefully one day we can both feel sexy even when out butt is seen

I had some KP on my butt, it wasn't as bad as on my upper arms though. I read that salicilic acid (commonly found in acne face washes) helps KP. So when I take a shower, I rub some on my butt and other places where I have KP. The KP on my butt has completely cleared and the KP on my upper arms got a little better but didn't disappear. Also, if you ever get acne on your butt, this will take care of that too.

Has anyone noticed if the kp on your butt is different from the kp on your arms? Cause the ones on my arms I can pop. But the ones on my behind are just red dots. Granted, my butt isn't smooth, but its not AS bumpy as the ones on my arms...

I really don't know... My face is smooth, as well as the rest of my body, except for my butt and the upper outer thighs because of kp

I haven't really checked how my kp looks like. All I know is that they just feel like "goosebumps".

Thanks for the tip on the salicylic acid. The aspirin mask doesn't really work.

salicylic acid is very helpful when it comes to skin infections or diseases. you just have to make a regular application.

Me too...

I'm new here as well and all the information I'm finding states that there is no cure. Maybe I'm wrong (hopefully) but I've been to several dermatologists and they have been worthless and just kept telling me what I already knew - hydrate, moisturize, blah..blah..blah..
I even use sunless tanning lotion sometimes if I know I'm gonna have to expose my arms - where its the worse! Its embarassing when people touch me and I have to explain why its so rough. I'm still not convinced that there can't be a cure. With all of today's technology, why can't we kick this pain in the you-know-what problem!!!!

I have KP on my butt and my upper outer thighs too - AHA's a salicylic makes it smoother, but it still dosn't get rid of the red bumps..

Yes I have KP on my upper arms where it's quite rough and different to the KP on my upper thighs and arse which is very smooth and just looks like lots of red dots. I also have KP on my lower legs which looks pretty awful as it seems that the fact hair grows on my lower legs drastically enlarges all of my KP afflicted pores and makes my lower legs look quite bad from a mile off. I epilate my legs rather than shave in an effort to get rid of as much hair as possible but find it doesn't make any difference. Does anybody else have a big problem with KP on their lower legs and hair?

i don't have a problem with hair and kp on my lower legs (i assume you mean the part of the leg from the ankle to your knee). for my legs, it's always been worse in the thigh area (knee and up). but it seems like in the past year, i've been getting more and more sporadic kp bumps showing up on my lower legs and it's freaking me out! and aren't these professional dermatologists the ones who are saying that, "oh..kp usually gets better with age." well, i don't see myself getting younger and yet i've got kp showing up on my lower legs where I never used to have them.

I recently found out I was pregnant. And have had this uncontrollable itching on my arms and legs. The only place I had the KP prior to my pregnancy was my arms. Now this itching is causing raising of the skin on my legs and know the sides of my thighs (and of course my arms). I wonder if the KP is now progessing to the other areas of my body because of the hormone levels. Has anyone experienced this reaction when they became pregnant? Because I do not remember my KP itching like this. Maybe in the summer when I exposed my arms to the heat but that is all.... Help.....

Because I have had many years of combating acne on my face, I have always assumed that it was acne on my butt! Then yesterday, a couple posts on acne.org/messageboard led me to investigate the possibility of my butt's condition being folliculitis. But that is more of an infectious thing than I think mine is, so that investigation took me further still to learn about KP. A first. It seems to fit with what I feel/see back there.

I've been trying to read around at previous threads, other forums/sites, etc., but really I am wondering..Is it possible to have KP ONLY on your butt? It's not so much a diagnosis I wish a doctor to make and would rather figure this out on my own.

I can say that I have tried Proactiv's body wash as a cleanser and exfoliant for ages and its main ingredient is Salicylic Acid and it has NOT worked to rid my backside of its bumps. SA is good for acne, so that kinda confirms for me that it is not acne.
