I've heard that it works for some people and doesn't for most. I guess it depends on ur type of skin, so it may work for you. It's pretty greasy though.

Good Reviews
If you go on the website everyone has given it really good reviews. I think I might buy it. Let me know how it works.

Ok, I will keep everyone posted about the KP duty.
Now, another thing: I read that Neutrogena discontinued their Skin Smoothing body lotion and everyone said it worked really well, I just found it at CVS really cheap, 2.82 per bottle ( b/c they are taking it off the market), and I bought all the bottles they had, 4. I going to start trying it. do you think is good and worth my time? Or do you think I should junmp to the KP duty regimen right away. I am also trying other things, Eucerin, Amlactin.. Anyone? |

amlactin
well, at the advice of my GP I tired amlactin with no results. I read on here about "soul Owners" cream from Spehora. It has glycolic acid as well as alpha hydroxy acid.. Hopefully it will work!

The Neutrogena smoothing lotion didn't work for me, and I didn't like the scent. -.-
I wanna try the soulowner thing, though. I've read around the board and heard it worked for a lot of ppl. |

The Neutrogena Skin Smoothing lotion works great for me! I've been using the new Neutrogena Rapid Clear Treatment pads before using the lotion and my arms are really smooth.

I got my "Soul Owner" creamin the mail today. I didn't exfoliate at first just in case this is too harsh. I feel a mild tingling and it smells of menthol or eucalyptus.. maybe rosemary/mint.. very pleasant. If my arms do OK, I'll put it on my thighs/booty area. Then if all is well, I may scrub a bit first. I just don't want to overdo it and end up scabby!

Also, a couple of years ago I was able to get my arms smooth by exfoliating well, then applying Jergen's skin smoothing.. with alpha and beta hydroxy acids in it.. my KP has gotten worse since then, spreading to my forearms, and this has not helped this time around..

I have had great results with Neutrogena Skin Smoothing lotion, and I'm really disappointed it's off the market. I was using it in conjunction with Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing scrub. Is the Soul Owner cream the foot cream from Philosophy?
-Thanks! |

Oh, and I forgot to mention, KP Duty did not work for me at all, in fact, it was worse for a while.

I have used KP Duty for over a year. while I can't answer if KP Duty works solely on its own, since I do have perscription lotion from my doctor. I can say that when I travel, I never take my perscription lotion with me, since it's too large to travel, adn I only take KP Duty (by. Derma Doctor) alone, and it does it job by at least maintaining my almost perfect skin on my upper arms and upper back. The reason I say almost is because I had KP for so long (years) before I learned what it was, and so I have lots of scaring (dark spots) from that, which probably can only be removed by laser, it's not at all obvious, adn my skin is very smooth, unlike when I had KP, it was like the 'green mesh sponge' texture, with lots of red/brown dots. I would say that My doctor's perscription lotion works probably better than the KP Duty, which I use alternately morning and night, and just like they all say, it's uncurable, but definately treatable (I saw results in less than 10 days, and pretty much cleared up after 2 weeks of coutinuous use). It's been 1.5 years now, and I don't use as much of the lotion when applying as I used to, just enough to maintain, and like I said, when I travel, up to 10 days, all I bring along is KP Duty, which is NOT greesy, and you really only need a little a amount of it (product doesn't come cheap, my perscription lotion is way cheaper than KP Duty). Hope this info helps.

The reason all of the reviews on KP Duty are glowing is because they do not publish the negative ones - I know because I was sucked in by those glowing reviews too! When I posted a negative one - I watched for awhile and noticed it never shows up! Try posting one - and you will see! The product did absolutely nothing for my kp.

Hi thisisme~
I visited both a dermatoligist and my family doctor, who both were very familiar with my condition with KP, I really didn't click with my derm, so which ever medication he gave me, I didn't even bother to get, but my family doctor prescribed me some sort of Lacid Acid 10% lotion which cost me about $36 after insurance (same price as KP Duty b4 taxes), which lasts for approximately 3 months, depending on how often you apply it. I remember whe I first notice my KP was a trip to Vegas, hanging around the Mirrage Swimming pool with my girl friends from college, and noticing that my upper arms were extremely red with patches, adn ever since then, started to become like sand paper texture, I nelected it for years, thinking that it's my bad genes, until I visited both my dermatoligist and family doctor...and after using the lotion, I was convinced that KP is TREATABLE! Hope this helps. |
