Possible KP in genital area?

I have searched the net but am unable to find anything. My doctor diagnosed me as having KP...I had it first on my one back thigh, now I have it pretty much on backs and sides of both thighs. I have had itchiness & dryness to the point of being uncomfortable and cannot get into my doctor until March :0( Does anyone know if it might be related ....sorry for the stupid question. I haven't ruled out the possibility of a yeast type infection, had one many many years ago but this is nothing like that. Just curious if anyone heard of the possibility of it spreading to this area?

I have it mildly in the genital area, well...in patches around the insides of my thighs, near my genitals. I do notice however that I have ALOT more ingrown hairs and bumps in my pubic area...and I DONT shave down there!!

At first I thought it was just normal chaffing from being a little overweight, but no. It is EXACTLY the same as my arms and legs.

The only luck I have had with it is loofah and lots of lotion down there. Yeah, it sucks, but it helps a bit.

actually if its.. "there" and itches, on males OR females its probably just jock itch, a fungal infection. Get a cream and try it.

Yes, if you have a serious case of KP, you will have it on your bikini line. I had that all my life. I used to clear that with Clearasil acni cream which spolis clothes..
What I do now is: scrub there, and sugar away hair constantly.. besides using a peroxide and milk mask on regular basis. The mask is an AHAS that exfoliates and whitens the area while sterilizing the skin really..
Try this!

Do not wear synthetics, eh?

I would really look at anything you could have developed an allergy, to make sure they are not dermatitis in that area. This includes the material of your underwear/pantyhose, your body soap, any bubble baths, swimsuit material, laundry detergent, and fabric softener.

I wonder how many people with KP have allergies as well? I occassionally get unexplained allergic reactions, and now only buy perfume free detergents & soaps.

Re: Possible KP in genital area?

I have Kp there too and its ruining my sex life because I'm embarassed about it- this is new for me. It doesn't itch or anything and the doc confirmed kp- ughhhhh. I use amlactin there too and it helps a bit but hurts like a mother.
