I live in Antwerp. Wow, did the redness disappear? Because I also have KP everywhere (arms, legs and face), but especially the redness. I got the roughness under control. I do tan a little bit, and that works. But I use right now a mix of eucalyptus, tea tree and eucalyptus. Today I bought the peppermint essential oil, to use in combination with the rest. We will see. My arms do look better, but I don't know if it is the tanning or the oils??? My legs are the worst part. I do not get them good. But I will try the monoi stuff, and see what it brings. Because there's also coconut oil in it (I just red the link). And it helped for you? Only in a few days? Please keep me updated about this...

Hi, I'm new to this site! I am currently a cosmetologist and have been searching for a cure for our pesky KP problem. I've heard that Glycolic Acids can help since they even out the PH in your skin. I'm doing an experiment. My roommate and I are both using low levels of GA. 15 at the highest. The only thing is that she has very acne prone skin on the face and she is using the facial kit used for acne. They also have a body wash and lotion with lower levels of GA(somewhere around 5 or 10 I cant remember). They are fairly expensive for the general public, but I have access to them for cheaper prices. I'll give you guys the website and you should tell me if you think this is a good idea. If so, I'll purchase the product and keep you informed on the results.http://rxsystemspf.com/
Also, I have been using retinol on my face and it seems to be improving. My KP is terrible and I've had it since a little girl. I struggle everyday and I am constantly depressed about it. I always feel like no one will ever want me because of it, and sometimes I even feel treated differently. I'm glad there are actually people to discuss this with. I never talk to anyone about it. Not even my own family, whom even suffer from the same skin problem. |

If the glycolic acid doesn't work, let me know. I'm using a Restoring toner mist that removes traces of cleanser and restores your skin to the correct pH level. So far, so good...

I have terrible KP all over my body rough, bummy, red & allot of dots, I have some freckles one my lower arms & legs which sometimes helps to mask that my KP is so bad.I will try the eucalyptus spearmint lotion sold at bath and body works whenever I get the time & money & probably when ever I run out of my current lotion.

I've been using the Alpha Hydrox Enhanced lotion (10% Glycolic acid) for approximately 10 days. I have noticed much smoother skin, and one to two eruptions (I scratched one off, just scrathing an itch). I'm still using the scrub (Clean & Clear blackhead clearing scrub) in the shower 2x/week, and using Alpha Hydrox body cleanser (4% Glycolic acid) 2-3x/week, with a shower puff. My kp is pretty mild, but I've had it for years. Oh, and I had a fritatta yesterday, so I'm expecting some outbursts in the next few days. Eggs make me bumpy. I think this regimen will keep it in check.

Re: KP over 95% gone
I just thought I'd mention this, on a board a woman said the BBW aromatherapy line has made her Keratosis Pilaris disappear, and she uses the eucalyptus lavender lotion.
The eucalyptus spearmint used to work for me, but doesn't work for me anymore. ![]() |

Re: KP over 95% gone
Hi Monica -
Yes, that is the lotion. Since they stopped making it, I've tried a few others. Currently, I'm using the Avon AHA body lotion, and it's working pretty well for me. Good Luck! |

I've been using the eucalyptus spearmint lotion from BBW with no results. Hopefully, it will work for someone else...
