I ordered some AHA products (http://www.alphahydrox.com) and I'll let all ya'll know the results. I got some body wash with 4% Glycolic and some lotion with 10% glycolic. In another thread, someone mentioned if shaving helped/hurt KP. I found that if I shave my arms in the direction of hair growth, I do not have any ingrowns and the KP is controlled a little. I think it has to do with exfoliation. I did not shave my thighs for a few weeks (surprising, my husband did not say anything at all....) and I had quite a large patch of KP on the backs of my thighs. I am returning to shaving at least every 3 days.

Paula's Choice (online) has a salicylic acid lotion & an alpha hydroxy lotion, so you can buy one of the two, or both.

I visited that site, and if the Alpha Hydrox stuff doesn't work I'll give Paula a try. I was pleased to see she is the author of "Don't Go to the Cosmetic Counter Without Me." She really dislikes the apricot scrub tho. The BHA's are the salisylic acids, and the AHA's are the glycolics. I'm not sure which one is going to do the trick, but since I've aready ordered the Alpha Hydrox, I'll give it a shot.

Thanks!

Right! I, for whatever reason, did not see your post above about ordering the AHA lotion/shower gel from Alpha Hydrox. I would imagine that would work for you (hopefully). Here's keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Thanks! Sencha, are you still seeing success with the Eucalyptus lotion? I was thinking this morning about straight eucalyptus oil. I wonder if that would work as well. The downside would be smelling like a koala bear or a cough drop all day. The past two days, I have used a dry body brush before getting in the shower. I'm not sure if it is helping, but it sure feels good to scratch!

My theory was that it was the eucalyptus oil in the BBW lotion, since eucalyptus has been described as being naturally anti-bacterial, or something like that. You are right about the straight eucalyptus oil. I have Dr Bronners Eucalyptus body wash & it smells just like a cough drop. I still am having success with the BBW lotion (wanted to make sure I addressed your question).

I just bid on 4 bottles of Neutorgena Skin Smoothing lotion on eBay! I also called their number (1-800-582-4048) to request that they bring it back on the shelves for those of us who have had success.

Sencha, I was thinking of using the eucalyptus oil in a regular body lotion, hoping to dilute the fragrence some. I hope the BBW continues to work for you. Thanks for answering my questions!

Most regular body lotions contain mineral oil or petro- products (known carcinogens!), so read the labels! In Switzerland, it's illegal to put mineral oil in cosmetics and toiletries, but we in the good ol' US of A haven't quite caught up yet. Eucalyptus oil is fine, but watch what else you might be unknowingly putting on your body. I use arbonne.

I'll check the ingrediants in the new body lotion my husband picked up for me: Aveeno (from their website "This lightly fragranced, non-greasy moisturizer, with an exclusive combination of natural soy, skin-silkening soy extract, and skin conditioners, makes hair look and feel softer, finer and less noticeable, so you can shave less often, while moisturizing skin for a full 24 hours."

Of course, they do not list the ingredients on the site.

I went to ebay to bid on the neutrogena skin smoothing lotion (4) bottles, but gave up after the price went to $36 (plus 6.50 for shipping). Just couldn't justify it.

I wonder why that is. I went to BBW site to check that eucalyptus stuff out and couldn't find any ingredients there either . Arbonne has them, so I just assumed everyone else would, too.

Are you in Belgium? I don't know if you can get it there yet, but it's swiss-formulated, so maybe there. Arbonne is going global next year, though.
