Soul owner didn't really do anything for me but it's not more harmful than anything else that is prescribed for this condition. It's primary ingrediant is Glycolic acid. It helps to smooth skin but in my case, it made the redness worse.

I've used it for my arms, I still do occasionally since I have a bottle of it. It's best not to use it immediately after a good hard scrubbing, but its ok to use after little or gentle scrubbing. It's perfectly fine to use on your arms.
Wow, this is an old thread!!!! |

Do you know what the percentage of glycolic is in the soul owner?

Ammonium lactate is also available over-the-counter in many drug stores and pharmacies.

I'm going to go and get Soul Owner too. I tried Sephora about 3 mos. ago but they were all out. The Eucyluptus spearmint lotion from BBW and EVCO are still working for me. Am lactin was the first thing I tried (prescribed by an MD) and it did absolutely nothing for me. Someone on this board once said "if it's prescribed by an MD, throw it out the window." Best advice ever. Anyhoo, I wish you guys continued success.

This could be a silly question. But after the nightly regiem of lotions and stuff, do we need to keep the skin covered. I mean I wear shorts to sleep (thats the only time i wear em), and was wondering is the creames do not stay on my skin, would it be better to wear PJ's.

Re: This has worked for me!
any follow-ups on "soul owner" creme? i'm about to buy some off ebay. i'm so desperate...sigh. maybe i should try the sulfur soap first. i don't even know where to start with all the things i've been reading here. i've always been told there is nothing that can be done for kp from my derm....

Re: This has worked for me!
Stephanite -- I check this board periodically and just saw your post. The Soul Owner worked for me for me for 3 months, and then (as with so other KP meds I've tried) stopped being as effective.
The ONE and ONLY thing that i've found that has worked for me -- for well over two years now -- is what Turquoise recommends on another thread. I've been using the AHA20% stuff (I also use the dermabrasion crystals she recommends) and I am amazed by the change in my skin. As somebody who has suffered from KP for over 30 years now, believe me when I say I have tried everything. Please check out Turquoises' thread (and site) and try what she recommends. I promise you it will work. |

Re: This has worked for me!
i was just reading her site this morning, i'm just low on funds atm--being a student and all. i do plan on trying it as soon as some money comes my way, probably x-mas.
luckily i lost the ebay auction for the "soul owner" stuff anyway. it was only $9 though. i certainly don't need anymore redness in my life. yeck. |
