I actually e-mailed the doctor concerning my son and he kindly responded. My son is 14 and I thought he was too young for the procedure and the doctor agreed. I plan to contact him in several years. He did mention in the email that he would have to see what kind of condition the skin is in before he could do the procedure.

That link is encouraging to me. I have had KP of the eyebrows with sparse growth as long as I can remember. I am getting treatment from derm by injections. It's been a year now with little to no hair growth. If that transplant procedure works I would certainly consider it.

Bumping this back to the top...anyone go for it yet? I'd love to hear the results. The doc there told me he's confident it would work fine after I explained our condition and sent him a closeup pic.

wow thanks for the tip. I don't know if kp is the cause of my overly thin eyebrows but for years i have suffered the self consciousness of it. Its bad enough that my face is always red, but i have to deal with the scarcity of eyebrow hair as well. $3000-$600 is really spendy, if i had the money i would do this for sure.

Great thread!

Hi,

I like many of you suffer from insufficient eyebrows. And I also suffer from bad KP and a shockingly red face.

I was thinking we could turn this thread into a go-to resource on eyebrow issues. One thing that occured to me was listing all the eyebrow transplant surgeons with a web prescence (I know of 3-5). Additionally, this thread might be good to list all the things we have a tried and how they worked, or more accurately what hasn't worked.

For me the tried, but no success list is:
-rogaine
-roaccutane (accutane)
-retin-a
-differin
-finacea (ok for redness though)
-lactic acid
-glycolic acid
-salicylic acid
-foltene
-Advanced Eyebrow Nutrition (please DO laugh at me)

List of surgeons with a web prescence:

Dr. Jeffrey Epstein: http://www.foundhair.com/pages/GalleryBody.asp
Dr. Jeffrey Anh : http://www.entcolumbia.org/eyelash.htm
Dr. Steven C. Chang and Dr. Edward A. Dietz : http://www.hairtransplant.com/home.htm
Dr. William Rassman : http://www.newhair.com/
Dr. Michael Beehner : http://www.saratogahair.com/index.htm
Dr. Maurice Khosh : http://www.facedoctor.net/

These are just the ones I have found to date. I have NO idea if ANY of them are any good. Hopefully, people who have worked with these surgeons or others can post their experiences.

Good idea to make a list.

I suffer from very insufficient eyebrows (almost no hair at all) and a light KP in my face. I have only had it for a few years and not tried to many things... yet!

My list of NOT succesfull stuff is:

- Elicina Bio Skin Care (I read about it on a forum in this website)
- Fruit Acid (many and very expensive treatments with a dermathologist)
- Creme with 10% carbamid (recommended by my skin doctor)

I am really considering getting a eyebrow transplant done. But since i have KPRF and UO I am curious as to whether the hair transplant would fall out later.

Has anybody actually undergone one of these procedures?
