You'll never guess what helps my KP..
First of all, and possibly apart from having KP, I have extremely dry skin. Exfoliation is a hands down must for me, even though I can never stick to it. Anywho, I bought myself a Ped Egg and since its so 'harmless' to the touch, and since my feet are soft and lovely (lol) I decided to use it on my arms. .... OMG, it worked wonders, literally just exfoliating off all the dead skin and even left my arms physcially bumpless. Ofcourse i had to use it on my thighs and inner knees, and it does no damage to my skin. Its really amazing how smooth my skin felt. My skin is still slightly scarred from my KP bumps, so thats another day-nother idea.. Just thought it was interesting and thought i'd share. (and if anyone else out there is crazy enough to try this, know your physcial limmits, because even though the Ped Egg is pretty harmless, too much pressure on exfoliating with a cheese-grater looking thing can be harmful to the skin..) Good luck!

Re: You'll never guess what helps my KP..
Oh My God!!! LOL, I had to run to my bathroom and check my ped egg to see what you were talking about.
I couldn't resist to laugh at what I was reading!!!!!But... After testing it on my hand, I can say it does not hurt my skin, but definitely if you apply too much pressure you can lacerate it.If you are going to try this, PLEASE do not use your ped egg in your feet also. Buy one just for your arms and keep it extremely clean and disinfect it with alcohol before each use... if you don't, you can get a horrible infection because this are metal "blades". Also, you need to have good skin for this - the kind that resists anything. This is not for delicate or thin skin. I wouldn't recommend this because it wouldn't work for me, but like yellowIK says... know your physical limits... ![]()

Re: You'll never guess what helps my KP..
Please, can you describe me what is "pedegg"? My translater does not know this word. The only thing I thought it might be a pumice stone, but maybe I'm wrong. I want to see this miracle

I wasn't sure what a ped egg was either, but a quick search yielded lots of results. Here's one of the commercials that passes on TV: YouTube - Ped-Egg Commercial From the reviews i'm seeing on the internet, it seems to work well for the feet. Some people on the forums have stated that dry brushing has helped their KP, so i imagine this would work in the same fashion. It certainly might be worth giving this a shot considering it's really cheap to buy. I found some on Ebay for like 2$ including shipping and from what i read, it can be found almost everywhere (Target, Walgreens, Walmart, etc). |

Thanks so much for adding on the safety and health precautions! Also, as you stated, the Ped Egg might not be too great on thin or delicate skin. I, however, have tough skin and my KP tend to form as rough bumps so it files all the bumps and dead skin off of my arms while leaving them smooth. Always trying to keep an eye out for something that works. (random* but, its amazing how out of all the people in the world who have KP including everybody I know, I've never personally met someone in the flesh with KP except my mother. I'm new to this website but im so comforted by knowing I dont have to talk about this and figure it all out alone. =]... ) |

Re: You'll never guess what helps my KP..
Hi! I am glad the Ped Egg on your arms has smoothed your skin. It makes sense that it would slough off the plugs, so I went out and bought one for myself. I used it once on both my arms and it didn't make any difference - in fact my KP got a bit more inflamed and bumpy. Yellowink, did only one time make a difference for you? I think I'll stick to using this for my feet.

Re: You'll never guess what helps my KP..
Has anyone tried using a plain old pumice stone on their KP, as opposed to the pedegg? I mainly have KP on my face (Lucky Me!) so I don't think that using the egg would be an option. But if something could s****e these horrible little bumps off of my face, that would just be super-great.
