please advise... could this work?
Hi eveyone! I have had KP since I was very little, but didn't know what it was until recently. I am now 28 and it seems that it's getting worse. I now have it on my belly as well as my arms and legs. Like all of you I turned to internet for solutions, and I found an interesting suggestion on another forum. Somebody tries something and she says it worked for her: to apply topically hair extension glue remover. I know this sounds weird, but apparently the remover lotion dissolves the keratin in the glue... the only thing is: I dont know if it's safe. Here are the ingredients in the lotion I got: water, adepsin iol, carbormer, surfactants, vitamin E, aloe vera, panthenol, propyl and methyl paraben and fragrence.
Any advice? Thanks! Last edited by Elsa Zoe; 04-14-2009 at 12:35 AM.. Reason: No links after 15 posts. |

Re: please advise... could this work?
Mindy,
If this is a glue remover, I don't think it is meant to be applied to the skin. You should consult a dermatologist first before using this topically. kebod

KP reduced 99%. If I go "off diet" -- grains, sugars, etc. -- or stop oil pulling, KP returns. |

I agree, Kebod. lol I draw the line at putting harsh chemicals meant for other purposes on my already sensitive skin. Glue remover falls in the toxic to human tissue category, imho.

Also, if you can avoid the ingredient "paraben". It is a common preservative in body products, but is suspected of being linked to breast cancer.
