Hi Baronster! Are you still around? Im from Spain and have had KP since i was like 11. Like many others it spreaded, and like many others it is annoying like hell! Any way, after trying a lot of stuff i found your thread. Funny thing is i have thougt about food being related as there are many other skin disorders food-related. Even autism improves with gluten free diet!! In my country naturopahs are still seen as some kind of witchs or something hehe, but im a health freak and i have used natural methods for other things before and had much better results than with "traditional" medicine. I practice Wusu as well (traditional kung fu) and had a nice approach to traditional chinese medicine through it. Teas are my best friends! 3 days ago i did started a gluten free diet even tho i havent had the food intolerance test done jet (not easy to find around here). I have before pictures taken from my AHA approach (with awfull results as my skin is soooo sensitive) so i would gladly share my after pictures or "in between" pictures if i ever figure out how the ***** to upload them.... ![]() And i would be also most than happy to translate any interesting information for the spanish speakers too! ![]() Thank u very much for helping. |

Hey!! 5 Days gluten/sugar free and starting to see results!
![]() You might want to give a look around celiac forums. They talk about KP and what happened when they stopped eating gluten. Very interesting! Will keep updating. Hughs! |

Re: worst case of KP treated naturally-Success story on page 76
Patience, patience. Some need to ask more questions, possibly because English is not their first language. If you don't feel like answering, you don't have to.
Pablo, Baronster took a "vega test" for 90 dollars. She found she was sensitive to 35 different foods. We are all different, so we do not all have the same food sensitivites and allergies as Baronster. Generally, some the most common foods that cause sensitivities or allergies are: wheat, dairy, corn, eggs, shellfish, peanuts. This list is not complete. You will not be sensitive to the same foods that Baronster, or I, are sensitive to. You would need to see a naturopathic physician and be tested to see which foods you should avoid for optimum health. I hope this helps. kebod Last edited by kebod; 07-07-2008 at 06:23 PM.. hope4thebest. exactly. i saw them on quackwatch too, as well as healthnet. they were advised against, going to a docotr and getting a blood/scratch test is a very useful AND PROVEN alternative to the vegatest which isn't.

Re: worst case of KP treated naturally-Success story on page 76
Hey guys,
sorry I didn't post back here I've been busy with my exams D: but they're all over now and I’m committed to cure my KP once and for all. I really would like to be able to wear clothes without sleeves... haha. I've found a place in the UK that does Vega testing, I'm pretty sure it includes a vitamin deficiency test too and I'm going to ring up on Wednesday to see if the Vega test tests for Candida yeast as well. If it does I’ll be sure to post more information on this neuropath. That also reminds me that I should take the spit test tomorrow... Apart from those enquires I’m going to start oil pulling some time this week too, I just have to get some sunflower oil. I also think it's a good idea for people to get tested for food allergies as well as food sensitivities... I mean it couldn't hurt right? It's strange that they say so many people have KP, everyone I know apart from my family are KP free haha. If the Vega test I am enquiring about does not test for Candida yeast, isn't there any other way to test for it apart from the spit test? I'm sure there are places that do that kind of thing and know how to treat Candida overgrowth if you have it. The trick here is to not give up and think positively. At least it's not fatal. I plan on trying a whole bunch of things out, to try and get to this problem including cleanses and parasite cleanses eventually. I'm pretty sure my KP has something to do with my immune/digestive system seeing as my family are always ill with digestive problems and I’m not sure if this is related but my brother got cancer when he was younger at a really young age too. I'll keep you updated on my KP journey. I'm also going to be starting a blog recording my progress. I think it could be a whole bunch of things that group together to make our KP, that's why people have different results with various treatments. However I wish our GP's wouldn't crush our hope with saying there isn't a cure. There has to be. Anyway, good luck everyone. |

Really? do you know who Steven Barrett M.D. is????? I do...he is a retired pyscoligist, he wins merit awards from the FDA. He is head of the paranormal society, and although he believes in energy that can be measured in ghosts, he doesn't believe in energy that can be measured in living beings. Check out what he writes about, he has 22 other websites. I'll admit he does a good job convincing the public against natural methods, but you have to ask yourslef why? Is he doing this for your benefit, or maybe for big business. He says vitamins are quackery, and anything you can imagine that isn't a drug or therapy that isn't conventional western medicine. Check out sources before you believe them as gospel. ANd speaking of gospel, other sites that list the vega test as waste of time are usually from religious funding. Always check the source of the writer of your material, ask who are they, and what are their credentials, are they biased? The blood scratch test is for an allergy reaction, IGG and will not show your ige anitbodies...you can take a blood test like Elisa, which is considered about 60% accurate, better than nothing I suppose. |

Re: worst case of KP treated naturally-Success story on page 76
anyone with digestive problems really needs to consider looking up "low stomach acid" and read as much as you can. It might be answers we are all searching for. It is a major cause of candida, parasites, bacteria overgrowth, and so many others.
It is called Hyperchlordia. I don't have the time or inclination to tell you all about it. look up also "symptoms of low stomach acid" The pieces of the puzzle will come togeather as you read, as it did for me. Also look up H pylori, it is a major cause of low stomach acid...it is bacteria that may interest many of you. this post may be the only way you know you have it, your Gp can test you for it, through a breath test. Doctors in Australia won the nobel prize in 2005 about their discovery about H pylori and how it causes almost all stomach ulcers, cancers, and digestie problems. It will explain anyone who is having absorption problems as well, it will explain most of the mysteries we write about. Good luck all. |

Re: worst case of KP treated naturally-Success story on page 76
A few more words about h. pylori.
"Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is a bacterium that causes chronic inflammation of the inner lining of the stomach (gastritis) in humans. This bacterium also is the most common cause of ulcers worldwide. H. pylori infection is most likely acquired by ingesting contaminated food and water and through person to person contact. In the United States, 30% of the adult population is infected. (50% of infected persons are infected by the age of 60.)" Information on Helicobacer pylori also referred to as H. pylori, produced by medical doctors The bad news: H. Pylori is resistant to most commonly used antibiotics. The good news: Broccoli and broccoli sprouts contain a chemical called sulforaphane that kills helicobacter pylori, the bacteria responsible for peptic ulcers and most gastric cancers, according to researchers at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. WHFoods: Broccoli Eliminates H. Pylori, Protects Against Ulcers, Stomach Cancer H. Pylori thrives in low stomach acid conditions. If you think you may have candida, you may benefit from taking hydrochloric acid with every meal. I use Lindberg brand "Betaine Hydrochloride with Pepsin". Low stomach acid, as Baronster says, can lead to many other health issues, including indigestion. Low stomach acid is common, and not only associated with candida. kebod |

Re: worst case of KP treated naturally-Success story on page 76
When I read the post from Baronster about Hypochlorhydia, I recognised the syptoms about indigestion. I also have a past of stomach pain, and yeast problems. So I made an appointment to do a gastroscopy (done last week), and within 2 weeks I have the results. I asked the doctor if he could test me for stomach acid (too low I think), Helicobacter pylori, and a few other things. Because I also have a deficiency of iron and vitamine B12, a common thing if you are low in stomach acid. I need to have vitamine B12 injections, probably for the rest of my life, and starting tomorrow. If I have the results, I will let you know. I'm starting to think this could be one of the reasons of many problems, like Baronster said, including skin conditions like KP. I'm actually very curious for my results, because I have had stomach issues whole my life. And if everything goes wrong with digestion, than it makes sense that the intestines suffer as well and we get food allergies/intolerances, candida, ...

Re: worst case of KP treated naturally-Success story on page 76
I really want you to post your results Belgian girl, I think that would be so interesting.
I believe that many people on this forum have this as the "root cause" to their condition. It is so difficult though because all of our problems seem independent of each other, but they are all related. I didn't realize I had digestion problems until other more pressing problems wnt away. Now I realize I have had this problem for way longer than when I became "aware" of it. I know now what it feels like to digest food properly. Kebod thanks for posting that information. |
