ComicBookCrush (love the name btw!) welcome, and I just wanted to say that I am quite sure that candida plays a major role in my kp. Mine is pretty bad, and it get even worse when I eat badly for a couple of days - ie, foods with lots of sugar. Candida, in my mind, has made me develop a load of food sensitivities, stomach and digestion issues and thus, kp. What happens on the inside shows up on the outside. I completely understand what you mean when you say your parents just listen to your doctor as if he knows everything,but that's what people do - for some reason they have this idea that doctors know everything and forget that they are just humans, who make mistakes and have their limits. I think you should try the candida spit test (just google it, its really easy) and then u will be able to start fighting the candida. If you can, I would also recommend you see a naturopath/homeopath who tests for food allergies (the way baronster did) and then avoid those foods too.I am on my way to recovery, but am finding it hard because I'm so busy and controllong my diet completely is a trial.However, I think i'm slowly coming to terms with it and gaining more and more control over things.It's hard when you are trying to explain yourself to others,especially because the things we are talking about aren't completely accepted by mainstream medicine.But stuff them, lol, we know what's best for ourselves and our bodies. Anyway, just don't lose heart, and remember that if one person can cure themselves, so can the rest of us!

Hope4thebest.....that was my point, i do eat NORMAL..I eat whatever I want....BUT..I don't eat processed or manufactured foods or foods with colourings and additives... I try to eat organic or natural foods whenever possible...I will eat at restaurants that make their own foods from fresh ingredients...I still don't eat very much dairy, and milk practicaly never, maybe a teaspoon in coffee if I have no choice.

I rarely eat wheat, but if I am in a social situation I won't turn it down, as I no longer sensitive to any grains or gluten at all.

I just rotate my foods, and never eat white sugar, ever, ever.....I have so many sugar subs that are natural like honey, maple syrup, agave nectar, brown rice syrup, and so much more....

I barely ever drink alcohol, but I will partake in a glass of wine in a social situation, but don't really enjoy the buzz anymore, as I feel it quite quickly.

I was 4 months of strict, and few more months of somewhat restricted....but since Christams time I have enjoyed whatever I like when I like.

Seems worth it to me.

Personally I think dieting to get rid of candida is a last resort. You need to take anti fungals, becasue at this point the candida is a FUNGAS with HYPHAE....it is not just going to give up because of a low sugar/yeast diet. (look at pics on the net of what this looks like, and then you can imagine how this implants on your intestines and takes roots)

why don't you google the only known function of candida in your body? When you die, your candida is supposed to turn fungal then and decompose your body, but again this is only suppose to happen when your dead, not while you are living.

I have started on the diet program for 2 weeks, just going to report my progress.

I followed the diet very strictly and took the supplements the doctor gave me and also started taking fish oil supplements.

Lost 5 lbs, which is a lot less than what I expected.

KP wise, I cannot tell too much of a difference by looking at it, I emailed the doctor, the doctor said that skin takes the longest time to heal, 2-3 months, so I just need to be patient.

By touching my arm, there are still bumps, but less than 2 weeks ago.

I will keep posting my progress..probably once every 2 weeks or so.

just wanted to let people know this treatment is a witchdoctor voodoo scam from one canadian doctor. it has been proven that every person at the miminum has at least two food sensitivities. and since this is the case everyone would have kp who eats food their sensitive too without knowing. kp has been linked to lack of vitamins and minerals not from food sensitivities. according to this witch doctor u would have to drink water and basically starve ur death to get rid of kp. including ac vinager which is a good for all for anyones body. dont waste ur time on this hokus pukus its a scam to get ur money and is very unfounded. oh and dont replace dairy with soy u might have a food sensitivity to soy lol

As long as you are making such broad generalities, would you please give us the source of your information? Who has proven that every person has at least two food sensitivities? And if so, we have to accept it and not make changes for the better? Who has found that KP is linked to a lack of vitamins and minerals? Please cite references for these studies.

There are so many treatments for diminishing KP. Some work better than others. Some don't work at all. What works for you may not help someone else. Please give respect to the person who started this thread and allow her to post what helped her KP and be able to share it with others.

We need to allow all suggestions as to what can help KP (provided it isn't something harmful, like drain cleaner) in order to find the cause of it, and the possible help for it. Please show toleration and respect for our fellow posters.

my treatment ended my kp for good page 5 kebod. u allowed this person to bash my treatment with her bogus unfounded opinions and didnt say a word to her . oh the witchdoctor voodoo treatment of baronster or whatever it is. u allowed her to post on my treatment thread yesterday and bash my treatment and said nothing to her. so i decided to come to her treatment and give my opinion of what i think of it and u scolded me . that is complete bias and completely uncalled for and unfair. but ill let the administrator takes this up as i have the proof with the post dates what went on .

if ur gonna be fair u have to be fair to everyone on this forum and treat everyone equally instead of picking who ur favorites are and being bias. she bashed my treatment first and u said nothing to her. that is complete bias.

I see now why I missed her post to which you refer. After she posted, you posted 11 times in a row, and I don't usually have time to go back 12 posts on every thread to see what is recent.

As to why she wasn't "scolded". She was able to offer her comments without referring to you as a quack or witch doctor. In other words, even though she disagreed with you, she still mainatined a respectful attitude and did not resort to name calling.

No matter what the remedy or method we believe in, there will be someone who disagrees. We each need to be thick skinned. We each need to see that every issue should have room for give and take, for those who agree and disagree. That is how we learn.

By all means, please private message (pm) Juan Muriente and Elsa Zoe if you feel you have been treated unfairly. I urge you to communicate with them.

but when i give my opinion back on her treatment thread u jump all over me when she started this stuff. i wasnt bothering this woman or anyone she started with me coming to my treatment thread and bashing it and giving her opinion and you said nothing to her u only jump me for basically doing the same thing. i think its because u like the female members and unfair to the male members. but whatever the reason is i dont care all i know is i got my rights.
