Re: Cured at last with oil pulling

Lisette,

I recommend a lotion that has very pure ingredients, like the kind at health food or natural food stores. I use coconut oil very sparingly. It is my favorite. If you put it on right after a shower while your skin is still damp, it doesn't take much and goes on very well.

Re: Cured at last with oil pulling

Remmus,

I delayed in answering you because I wanted to check first with my friend Molly, my oil pulling advisor. She answers that it's "very good for mom and bambino". So yes, please try it and let us know if it helps.

Oil pulling removes toxins from the mouth that are otherwise absorbed by the body, as well as delivering essential fatty acids, the EFAs, something many diets are deficient in. I really think it would be very healthful for you and your baby.

Re: Cured at last with oil pulling

So, It's been two days of oil pulling and I'm finding that it's relatively easy to do. I wake up in the morning and do it while I'm reading and journaling. I'll keep in touch and let you know if I see any results.

Re: Cured at last with oil pulling

Good for you, Kristen! It's easy for me, too. I OP while I read and answer email. It's probably too soon to see results, except for whiter teeth and fresher breath. Sesame oil is one of my favorites because I love the flavor.
Are you able to do a full tablespoon for 20 minutes?

Re: Cured at last with oil pulling

Yep, I can handle a tablespoon of the sesame oil for 20 minutes, so I'm planning to stick with that for several weeks in hopes of curing this KP mess.
Is your skin completely clear and smooth or is your KP just minimized from OP?

Re: Cured at last with oil pulling

My skin is not completely clear, but I would say the bumps are reduced by 90%, which I'm very happy with. If I stop oil pulling, the bumps come back. Whatever oil pulling is doing, it is what my system needs.

Re: Cured at last with oil pulling

Okay so I havent been on the forums in a while
I've stopped oil pulling a while back (big surprise there..)
And this last week I was so upset with myself
for breaking down and eating a bigmac and fries and a medium coke!!
OHH Gosh i feel so horrible for it.. but you know, I let myself have a downer and Im determined that this week I'm getting out of that rut. I was so worried I'd fall into the "too many baked goods + preservative filled foods this holiday season" rut and now that i realize i DID there for a bit, im getting out of it.
Tomorrow I am going to bring water to school to help flush out my system..
back to green tea in the mornings (I've substituted it for french vanilla coffee)
and even my SUPPLEMENTS. Ive been neglecting my efa's and my multivitamin.. even my chromium.. God I really did have a bad breakdown there So ashamed..

But I'm going to make it up to myself and my body this week.
I was satisfied that I got a lot of excersize this week.
Being locked outside my house for two hours had me walking to three different friend's houses as well as runnin around in my driveway to stay warm. I've also gone toboganning, played with the dog in the snow and attempted situps again.

It was weird how my body was just.. craving SO many calories this past week. I kept feeling hungry and hungrier.. I don't know if I'm growing againn or my body is just having a freak phase or what.. but I figure if my body was that hungry it's starving for something, so back to energizing foods and vitamin supplements.

Anyways Hopefully I can come back on this forum more often
and I specifically posted all this here in the Oil Pulling forum because I am going to start OPing again to help flush out what wastes and toxins the Big Mac and other gross foods have left in my body lately. OP is great for that..
And sound sleep couldn't hurt (seen as how my law assignments, english essay's, french projects and Biology research papers are leaving me up to 1:30 in the morning)

I think I should seriously update my blog with all the massive amounts of homework I've been doing and things that have been occuring in my life lately.
Needless to say, its been busy enough to keep me from surfing the net, something I have a bad habit of doing.

Anyways hope you're all feeling well and good luck with the OPing! It tremendously improves one's health!

Take care,

* x. Endless_Winters

Re: Cured at last with oil pulling

EW,

I wish you luck in your new determination. Step by step, we make progress and learn how strong we are.

I notice when I have a no-no food, like a slice of pizza (all that cheese and white flour -- ugh!), my oil gets very thin and watery and fills my mouth very quickly. There is so much, I can't hold it for 20 minutes. On a good diet, this doesn't happen.

I'm so glad you are benefiting from oil pulling. Please post again.

Re: Cured at last with oil pulling

It's been seven days of oil pulling each morning with sesame oil for at least 20 minutes. No results yet, but I'll give another two weeks or so.

Re: Cured at last with oil pulling

Kristen,

I hope you can give oil pulling 30 days total. My KP cleared after 21 days, but we are all different and may react differently.

Re: Cured at last with oil pulling

Hello KP Forum! Long time no talk.

Sorry I've been away for so long. The OP forum on the other website has been very active.

I wanted to visit to say one thing. Lately I've gotten many new people coming on to ask me just how long they should do OP to "cure" their issue. OP is like brushing your teeth. It's like taking a very good supplement (essential fatty acids). It should be done daily, and for the rest of your life. It should be incorporated into your schedules.

We have now proven that OP is superior for gum health. It relieves the oral area of harmful bacteria that could be swallowed and cause distress to your organs. There have been many reports in our recent history of gum disease causing heart problems. People have died after root canals. Bacteria in the mouth is a serious problem. It may very well be the reason that those medical doctors that promoted OP realized that it was the bacteria and gum disease in the mouth that could cause many of the ailments we experience and have no idea why they are manifesting.

Essential Fatty acids. We know we need them. OP is one of the most efficient ways to get EFA's into our system. It is absorbed sublingually.

Did you ever think that KP might be a genetic deficiency of something? Possibly EFA's? It could be the link to why KP sufferers realize some benefits during OP. Strange how it really affects bumps, and not always the red spots. My husband's experience with this is fascinating. Definitely, his bumps are gone. The red spots come and go. So we possibly have half the equation....

Our bodies are so complicated. The skin is such a mirror. When we are experiencing illness, hormones, stress...our skin is a window. The largest organ on our body. There is no doubt that KP is genetic. There are diseases and conditions that are passed down genetically. Someday we may find the link to the deficiency, but I think this group is blazing new trails. Getting rid of the lifetime bumps, just by swishing some oil around your mouth? Amazing stuff indeed.

So I came to visit to say that despite the desire to arrest the KP, that those that have been practicing OP for awhile now must continue for all the other benefits that OP can offer. Your skin, your organs, your gums.

Thank goodness for Kebod. You have worked tirelessly, and your efforts have helped many.

Love, Molly

I just tried this for the first time. It's hard to do this for more than 15 minutes w/o getting tired.

Re: Cured at last with oil pulling

bjw,

If you are getting tired, you are using your facial and jaw muscles too much. Move the oil around as slowly as you can. There should be no fatigue. Let me know if this helps.

Re: Cured at last with oil pulling

Just wanted to post my update... it's been 16 days of oil pulling.. I'm sure my inner health is improving like everyone says, but being vain (as most of us are), I'm still waiting on the outward results. I'll keep you posted!
