Re: cured at last
We began Oil Pulling Yesterday, and here's our Progress Journal: Juan and Elsa's Journal
It contains pics and the oil that we bought. We encourage all our members to begin posting your own Progress Journal. ![]() It is a fun way to keep record of your progress and help other people to see real results and how that particular treatment is working. |

Re: cured at last
Great idea, Elsa Zoe! Thanks for suggesting Progress Journals.
I hope you find oil pulling helpful for you and Juan. Please post again here to let us know if it is helping you or not, and what changes you are noticing if it is helping. Some changes will happen the first week, others may take a month or more to see. I hope you have very white teeth right away! kebod |

Re: cured at last
Could cold pressed olive oil be used for oil pulling?

Re: cured at last
Lonewoman,
Cold-pressed olive oil is very good for oil pulling. It isn't popular, though, because it doesn't get teeth as white and because of its stronger flavor. On the plus side, olive oil is commonly available and affordable. If you like the taste, go for it! Please post again and let us know what you think of it. I don't think anyone else here has reported using olive oil, so it would be interesting to hear from you about it. kebod |

I hate having to cover up my body because of a few small bumps but my confidence level is really low.I am trying oil pulling (olive oil) and I am on the thrid day. I am feeling weird pains in my sides and my muscles on my stomach seem to have tightened. Are these thing normal? Also, about how many days does it take to notice results with my kp? Will the Kp on my face clear up?? Thanks! |

Re: cured at last
okay so its been a month since i started oil pulling. at first things seemed to get better then, it seemed to come to a halt. my kp isnt getting any better and i got really frusterated a few days ago because it felt gross. i'm thinking that starting school (which stressed me out) had an impact on it as well. Im still using the sunflower oil and im thinking about ordering coconut oil and switching off every month to see what it does.
one very big thing i am surprised about is well my period. usually mine are very heavy and totally unbearable. i just started it and i feel like im on the pill or something, no cramps, light, and actually really awesome. because there was such a dramatic change im not sure if it was the oil pulling that did it or something else i need to worry about; so i was wondering if anyone else had this happen to them? as far as my teeth go- they havent really changed. the black dot reappeared and im going to the dentist in about a week becuase i think it really is a cavity. at first i said i would give oil pulling a month and see how it helped but now im thinking two months becuase i want to know whether its helping my girl problems. if it made every month this easy even if ti didnt help my kp it would be worth it for me. |

Re: cured at last
SO i think i might give this a try.
I have kp on my chest, legs and face. Very very very minimal on my arms but it doesnt bother me. I've got organic coconut oil at home, however it isn't exactly a liquid. It's just this solid piece in a plastic container. Should i warm it up to make it a liquid and then use it?? |

Re: cured at last
Wowza, it is possible you swallowed some oil and this caused a "gall bladder dump" --a mini-liver flush -- if your body is not used to ingesting oil. It is also possible this had nothing to do with oil pulling. I hope you stay with OP to see if this was a one-time experience or if you could link it to OP. No one here has reported anything like this before.
It took me 21 days to see KP improvement after I started OP, but we are all different and have different results. I don't know if OP will help you or not. You just have to try it to see. I hope it does. Please let us know, but give OP a month to see results. To Katiebug, I agree with you that it would be a good idea to switch oils. (Everybody, if you don't see anything happening, try a different oil.) However, you did have a major benefit -- a comfortable period. This is a common benefit and has been reported by many on the Cure Zone Oil Pulling forum, as well has some of us here. Oil pulling can have a positive effect on hormones. EK1, Coconut oil is solid under 74 degrees F. You can either warm up a small amount (put a spoonful in a little dish and put that dish in a bowl of hot water. Don't get the coconut oil hot.) Or you can put a small amount in your mouth and the warmth of your mouth will melt it. This is what I do. (My sister found a warm cupboard next to her water heater to keep her coconut oil in and my son keeps his by a heater vent in the winter to keep it liquid.) I hope you try oil pulling for a month and post again with your results. Happy pulling, everybody! ![]() kebod |

Re: Covering up,...
woza101azwow - The "beginner" oils are actually _untoasted_ sesame oil and sunflower oil - I recommend a high oleic sunflower oil like Spectrum brand. I personally I have a slight food and skin allergy to olive oil so i avoid it. Depending what your diet is like, you may need to switch oils if you want to have gentler herx effect (the pains or welts or headaches or various symptoms that people get when starting oil pulling or other major dietary changes.) good luck! - bd

Re: cured at last
i think the reason why keratosis pilaris does not clear up completely by oil pulling is that u only lead out a small amount of toxins which is not enough. it sounds very possible that a owergroth of candida which is feed by all sorts of sugar that we eat and those candida parasie always produces large amounts of toxins. so i tell u all oil pulling is not enough. i have read so many success stories these days on bee wilders yahoo group of peoples who not only cured their kp with them, also rosacea or eczemea .... took a look at her programm. coconut oil is also a part of her programm but not pulling the oil, you have to drink it
but u can read the complete body clearance programm at her yahoo group. she is no seller of anything she hast just studied function of the body for over 20 years. pls check it out it will really change your whole life |

Re: cured at last
Dave,
I agree that oil pulling is not a cure-all for KP, as we have seen limited success here. Some have seen some diminishment, some none, and a few, like myself, have seen it make a huge difference.(In case you don't know, OP cleared up my mild KP by 95%. If I stop OP, the KP comes back.) I also agree that KP may be linked to candida/parasites, and this is an issue that needs to be addressed separately and which Baronster is doing on "Worst Case of KP treated Naturally". I think you are new to this KP forum. As you read more, you will see that there are many ways people are trying to heal this, not just by treating candida. And we have also found that different remedies work for different people. Nonetheless, oil pulling can make a big difference in skin conditions and other health issues, like sinuses, allergies, healthy mouth (teeth, gums and tongue), menstruation, and energy levels, to list a few. (My son no longer has to take any allergy meds since he started OP.) If you want to read OP testimonies, here is a link: http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=911141#i You need to scroll down on this page to read everything. Here is another link, from Earth Clinic, if you haven't already read it: http://www.earthclinic.com/Remedies/oil_pulling.html Those who have had success with OP here seem to be people with mild KP. OP doesn't seem to be enough for serious KP. But it has enough benefits that many want to try it, and some will never stop oil pulling once they have. Thanks for posting. kebod |
