to mulls, oil pulling with sesame oil

Hi Mulls,
I'm sorry you have seen no results after 2 weeks.
I have never heard of toasted sunflower oil. Perhaps you meant to say the sesame oil was toasted. If so, it will be dark in color and strong in flavor, and not what you want to use for pulling. If you were using toasted sesame oil, I don't think it would be possible to see results.
My husband and a friend have both been pulling for about a month, and both report no change in tooth color. After talking to them about it, they both said that even as children, their teeth were not very white, leading me to think that this is their natural tooth enamel color, and oil pulling may not be able to change that.
I hope you give the new sunflower oil some time and also report back to us if it works or not.

Welcome, Needkphelp

Thank you for joining our oil pulling experiment. We know OP works for many health improvements; we just don't know how much it can help with KP. Many of us are experiencing improvements of varying degrees. My KP has almost disappeared since I started OP. For this past week, it is just about 100% gone. I say "just about" because if I look, I can find a few bumps on my cheeks, but that is all. Overall, my skin feels so much better, and I hope you too will have improvements. Please keep us posted.

hey, i don't mean to dampen everyones spirits because i think its great that OP worked for you but i've been pulling for 2 weeks and like mull have seen no results. I used normal sunflower oil the first week and since have been using coconut oil. Kebod, did your KP get better over the three weeks gradualy or did you not see any improvement until the 3rd week?
I really want this to work so any tips would be great

thnx x

Oil pulling improvements

When I first started oil pulling, I didn't know it could help with KP, so I wasn't watching closely. But on day 21, when I saw everything had cleared up, I remembered that a few days before, while showering, I had felt how dry and crusty the skin on my upper arms felt. I don't think it happened gradually, because I think I would have been aware of it.
Some have reported changes after just a few days of OP, so I think we each will have different reactions at different rates. I hope you give OP a bit more time to see if it makes a difference for you. Are you aware of any changes anywhere else -- teeth, tongue, gums, joints?
Please keep us posted and good luck.

Wink 3 weeks of oil pulling

OK so it will be 3 weeks of oil pulling tomorrow so thought I best update. For the first week I used extra virgin olive oil then I switched to pure coconut oil, 2 teaspoons for 20 minutes every morning without fail.

KP on my arms is about 60% improvement with all the roughness completely gone now just have smooth slight bumps which are slightly red on the whole affected area. Still think right is a bit better than left.

KP on my bum has now improved, Horay! This had become my worst and most embrassing area over the last couple of years. About 40% improvement, like arms the roughness is gone, leaving smooth bumps and reduced redness. Left better than right so figure that one out?

Just noticed about 25% improvement on my legs, again it is the roughness that has better first.

With the coconut oil I put 2 teaspoons into a glass and put the glass in a bowl of warm water to melt it as it is solid in the scottish climate. For the first 2 mornings my husband did it he just chewwed the solid oil but found this a bit gag worthy so now melts his too. He has been doing for 5 days but has not noticed anything yet.

I also switched to coconut oil for rubbing on after the shower instead of almond oil. I also take more time to rub it in whilst still in the shower. I think it feels less greasy than the almond oil but more moisturing so I am going to stick to this change. Smells great too!

I think that my teeth are slightly whiter but not very noticable, should have got one of those teeth whiteness scales to judge better. Last week I had very sore gum on the inside top right teeth. Was quite dispointed that the oil pulling was not helping what I thought was my usual wisdom teeth pain. (All 4 wisdom teeth have not been able to come through as not enough room in my mouth, dentist just tells me to hope it never gets really bad or I will have to have an operation.) Then I felt something on the outside gum of the effect area I picked at it and a fibrous piece of ginger (I think?) came away. Then all of a sudden the gum got better wthin a couple of hours. So the piece of food had got trapped on the inside and caused pain until it came out the outside. I cannot remeber anything like this ever happening before. Has anyone else had this. Was it the oil pulling that got it out? I can't really floss as my teeth are so tightly packed the floss tape can never get down between the back ones so I supposed the food could get stuck there for a long time.

Will check back with any other changes

Thumbs up Getting better and better

My fifth week of oilpulling is behind me.I still can't belive that this simple method works for me like nothing has ever worked before. My bumps are now like 90% gone, still have some on my thights and butt. The redness has improved dramatically-60%,and that is really huge for me.So everbody, don't lose your faith and continue with op.I just think that some people need more time and that it depends on what you eat and how intoxicated your body is (sorry about my ****py english).

Everyone is different. Everyone also experiences different things with different oils.

We used to just say, ONLY use the Sesame and Sunflower, as that is what Dr. Karach said to use. And I was a real stick-to-my-guns type about that. But, after watching all the experimentation being performed on the other forum (and my own too), I am now convinced that the properties of oil respond in different ways to the needs of the individual.

My best pulling oil so far is Walnut Oil. I have experienced great results in the past 3 weeks, even though I've been pulling for almost a year.

So, I urge you all to experiment a bit, if you are able to do this. I seriously would only use unrefined and organic oil, whatever you choose. But there is a whole world of oil out there, and each of them are as different as we are.

Thanks for listening.

Molly

Hi all, I found this forum through Google after trying to figure out what these 'bumpy things' on my upper arms were. By looking at some images I've come to the conclusion that it's KP. I've had it for about 6 or 7 years but I always thought it was some kind of body acne. I have not gone to a dermatologist because it doesn't bother me that much, I guess because of my skin tone (I'm hispanic). Compared to some pics I've seen I think my case is mild. Anyway I've never heard of oil pulling before but I'm so excited to try it. I went out to Whole Foods today, found me some sunflower and sesame oil and I'm gonna start in the morning! I told hubby about it and he's also going to try. He doesn't have KP but he does have dry heels, and occasional aches and pains that some other OP'ers have been treating. Just wanted to say thanks for all of the information you guys have posted, and I will keep ya'll updated!

Good news

What good news, Optimistica! Did it take the full five weeks until you noticed improvement? And what kind of oil are you using and for how many minutes? Would you call your Kp mild or serious? I'm asking because I'm trying to determine if OP is most effective for mild cases, or can it help serious cases as well? We are depending on everybody's feed-back to get a general idea of how and if OP can make a difference.

Glad to hear from you, Jonsgirl. My case was mild, too. I hope this works for you. Keep us posted.

Skin-deep, you asked for tips. Are you doing this for 20 minutes on an empty stomach? And then having a big drink of water afterward to rehydrate? I try to drink a lot of water all day -- trying to clean out everyway I can.

Right now I'm filling the tub for my Sunday night Epsom salt/apple cider vinegar soak in really hot water. I didn't start doing this until after my KP cleared significantly, so it really isn't having the effect that OP had in that regard, but I have been reading about how good it is for better health. Once I went down the OP road, I have wanted to better my health in other ways, and this is one of them.

Keep in touch, everybody.

Hello Everybody!
I am on day 15! I just wanted to note that I skipped a day a couple of days ago, and the KP got a lot worse than it had been for 2 days after that. It is now back to looking a lot better as I have stayed on track since then! I think that is proof that it's working.
Right now, I am looknig at my arms, and the redness is maintaining itself at about 50-60% better. You can still feel the bumps but they seem to be flaking and peeling away, and also getting a little bit smoother.
I am also going to try to ask one of my biology major friends to test the oil that comes out of my mouth after 20 minutes of swishing and see what is actually in it!! Hopefully I can find someone who isnt too grossed out to do this!! Maybe I will ask a professor...
I will definitely tell all of you about the results.

Also - Kebod, I was wondering about the salt and apple cider vinegar bath. How much do you put in of each? What is it supposed to do for you? How is it healthy? I am always interested in new homeopathic remedies!!
I have also heard about people eating teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in the morning for healthier skin and less acne? Kebod (or anyone else) - what can you say about that?

Good luck everyone - stay patient!! And post all of your results! This is an amazingly kept secret that needs more feedback and lab rats such as ourselves!

Weekend away sucked

Hi guys im new to this site but needed to talk to people who understand. im feeling very depressed right now. Just came back from a weekend away with my boyfriend and his friends and their girlfriends who all happen to bring their bikinis with cause the weather was very hot. So we went on this hike and came out to a spring and they all jumped in and i sat on one of the rocks watching. my boyfriend said he dont care but seeing those girls splashing around and laughing and him playing with them in the water made me feel like i want to die or just run away.

I wonder why oil pulling is working for you guys? I have not tried it but will, i hope it also works for kprf. The oil must be responsible for reducing the allergic inflammation within the hair follicle.

giggley chick...If you get one of those people to look at this, you absolutely must come over to the curezone forum to tell us all. We've had a few people doing this, and I must say, it's pretty awesome. All we can think is that the oil, by cleaning up the blood, also cleans up the skin. And bacteria is so pervasive in the mouth, that cleaning that up, also has a cause and effect for the rest of the body, especially the liver. I can't tell you what it would mean to all of us if you were to ask these people what they thought about this.

And keeping the faith, I can't tell you how strongly I felt after reading your post. Body images are a very hard thing to overcome. I can tell you though, boys don't trip on the same things that we do. When they love you, they overlook so many things. Hey, you got a skin condition! If anyone asks, say hey...I've got a damn skin condition...OK? It sucks, but I've got it. But hell, I'm still me, and I think I'm pretty damn good anyway. All the beautiful skin in the world is not going to overshadow the wonderful person you are. And heck, you've got a boyfriend, I'm sure he has seen you, right? So who are you trying to impress, those girls, or the boyfriend who already loves you? Sweetie, I'm not trying to be hard on you. I don't have KP, but I'm not perfect. And I spent years hiding myself and not having the joyful good time I could be having. And believe me, my body has been anything but perfect...hideous sometimes.

And Dick. Gosh, we have no idea. We are hoping it does. It seems to have worked for many skin conditions. We are always hopeful. And even if it doesn't cure everyone's KP, it is a marvelously healthy and wonderful alternative health protocol that actually does seem to do many things, but we are only just learning what it can do.

Sorry for the soapbox group. Just need to get all this out of my system.

Keeping the faith, you are going to be OK....hang in there.

Molly
