Hey everyone!! I'm new to this site, I really love it! I thought I was the only person in the world with skin like this, I didn't know there was an actual term for it! Anyways, I'm 15 (as of summer) and I've had KP since I was about 7 or 8! VERY YOUNG! I had it on my arms & legs, and now its died down but its in more places! This site has helped me a lot by finding out some solutions, I haven't tried any yet, but I'm determined! Thanks for sharing your stories & boosting my confidence !

I was wondering though, I might have Candida, is it the same thing? I mean if I do a Candida cleanse do you think it'll get rid of KP? has anyone tried it?

There is no such thing as a candida cleanse. If you do have it, there is a regimen to follow -- diet, candida killers, and immune system enhancers.

Candida and KP are not the same thing, though some think that candida may cause KP. I don't know if that is true or not.

Hey Kebod!! Thanks so much for the reply.
Well my mom says I've had Candida since I was little, I was born with it. So when I started developing KP I was 8 or 9, but my doctor kept saying "it was allergies". & my mom always though it was Candida until I did some research & found this site. I'm pretty positive I have KP.
But I saw somewhere that if you treat KP like you have Candida, it will help it to vanish?
I'm not sure, but I'm gonna try the Alkaline Diet & see how that goes.

If you really think you have candida, you need an anti-candida diet, not an alkaline diet. They may have similarities, but they aren't the same. The treatments for KP and candida are not the same.
