Question my dermatologist suggested this?? (lauticare, buff puff, vitamin A)

I am new to the KP Community but have kp on my arms, thighs, stomache and face since i can remember. My dermatologist suggested i take 8,000-10,000 I.U of vitamin A, use a buff puff, and use a lotion by the name of Lauticare. Has this been suggested to anyone and if so have you gotten any results?? I'm from a small town and have trouble finding the lotion. Does anyone know where i might be able to get my hands on it besides the internet?? What exactly is a buff puff??

-thanks please write back =]

Oops sorry its lacticare. I ordered all of the stuff online and it came in last thursday. I have stared using the lotion and the buff puff. My skin is smoother but the redness is the same. I have yet to take the vitamin A. So we'll see..

I'd be happy with just getting rid of the bumps.

Hi Manda,

Welcome to the KP Forum and thank you letting us know what your dr. recommended. I hope it helps. I don't know where you can buy the lotion, but I can help you with a buff puff. Go to a pharmacy or Walgreens, Walmart, etc., and look where products are sold for baths and scrubbing. This puff is like a wad of netted nylon material that is used for scrubbing. Don't rub too hard until your skin gets used to the pressure.

Ask your dermatologist where you can buy the lotion. It must be available locally if he recommends it.

Good luck and please keep in touch.

kebod
