hi every1 . i just joined and thought i mite as well introduce myself. im 17, female and from Australia. i have had kp all my life (well as long as i can remember) altho i didnt no it was kp til i found out yesterday. its nice to no it has a name, and its pretty common. ive always hated my skin, cuz not only do i have kp but i also have very pale skin, so the kp (and my freckles and stretch marks) show up pretty bad. ive read that tanning helps, but no such luck for me! lol.
As much as ive hated my skin tho, ive never really tried to cover it up much. i guess i dont wear short shorts cuz my thighs r pretty bad, but ive always worn short sleeve tops and dresses. i guess i jst thought no one was even gonna touch my arms or anything and its Australia - its hot. Thats only backfired on me once, wen a teacher was reassuring me about something and kinda patted me on the arm. She quickly realised her mistake and pulled her hand away, giving me an odd look as she walked away. That made me feel pretty bad but i got ova it.
From ur threads it sounds like u r really self conscious due to the kp. But i have to tell u, its not as bad as u think. No one comments on mine. And i have a friend who i noticed has it on her thighs. She is very sporty and always wears shorts and skirts. shes also had a few boyfriends, so it doesnt seem as tho they cared much.
