Online Poll RE: KP

Demographically the poll may also reflect those who are most concerned to research or online and not necessarily prove anything much.

This is random and has nothing to do with the poll... but I've been having trouble accessing this site.. in particular the forum topics. Apparently, this poll is the only thing I can access. Any ideas as to why this is happening???

I just joined this evening. I am a totally blind person. I joined because I have the same problem that everybody does in this group. I read where somebody said it was addictive. I couldn't agree more. I've been doing this for as long as I can remember. I thought this would be the best place for me to get help.

If the poll is an indication of who uses this web site, I see why there is so much insistence on scrubs as a treatment option. I'm a dark skinned black woman and this is totally contraindicated for me, as I amn also prone to bad scarring and keloids (as if KP wasn't enough!). Harsh scrubbing is to be avoided by people of color in general

Ugh, I had it just on my upper arms but it's spreading to my forearms and theres a couple behind my shoulders, and my upper chest.. pain in the ass. If it spreads there I'll be so angry. I do get the occasional one on my knee/thigh but it always goes away. hope that's the case with my shoulders

I'm a 21 y/o male with KP on my thighs (REALLY bad, turns into pimples after awhile), have a bit on my "love handle" area and then a really small amount on my tricep areas.

Treating it with Salex Rx Lotion (only on day 2, no improvement). It's really expensive, might not be worth it. $60 with insurance for 414mL.

I tried the same stuff, doesn't work for me either. I have really bad scaring from all the itching it does and that stuff is pretty expenisive. Hope it works for you
