Re: Another Tanning Question

Everyone should research vit. D and mineral deficiency. Especially if you avoid the sun or always wear creams or make-up with SPF factors. Mineral deficiencies can manifest with many different symptoms and supplementing with minerals without Vit. D is useless. Ever since the skin cancer scare with the sun, people have been avoiding the sun as much as possible. But the reality is that many many people are vit. D deficient and therefore mineral deficient. Which would make a lot of sense as to why the sun improves KP. Don't you think.

Re: Another Tanning Question

I think sun exposure in moderation is a great idea, as long as you aren't using AHA. I'm headed for my back porch right now for some afternoon Vit. D!

Re: Another Tanning Question

my bumps on my arm are almost gone, but tanning makes my scars darker. it's funny because I've kp on my left upperarms, actually, so I would tan only my left arm.

Re: Another Tanning Question

Hello,I went to the caribbean 2 years ago for my nephews wedding, and noticed my KP had improved alot, was really nice to be able to wear shorts and skirts and bikini's!I suffer with it on my thighs, and tops of my arms,I mean it's bad enough having Cellulite, but it looks even worse with KP on it as well.

Re: Another Tanning Question

Tanning in tanning beds helps my bumps improve greatly. Using Vitamin C lotions has helped diminish some of my redness (rosacea) I have gotten where I have my KP. When I really want to help conceal the redness I go get a mystic tan. I am so WHITE that the redness really shows up on me unless I get spray tanned. Tanning beds only make me a darker shade of white---thats what my husband tells me, but it helps with the bumps so its worth it
