advice needed for teenage son

Found this site and been doing a lot of reading and although got an appointment tomorrow with docs about son's condition I reckon they will just confirm what i already know.

He has had lumps under the skin on both upper arms and face for years now and we never really took much notice but recently, whether it because he is now 13 and hormonal changes, they are getting worse, more of them, and a lot more redness is showing.

After reading I am assuming that the best course of action to take just now would be an exfoliating scrub used daily with an exfoliating glove etc and preferably a moisturising one. Follow this with a moisturising lotion containing either AHAs or Urea or if can do get one which has both. also recommended is to take a supplement of fish oils daily.
Is this correct - I don't reckon he would take too kindly to the OP at this stage - or are there other things that we could be doing. Thank you all for any responses in advance.

Re: advice needed for teenage son

Hi concalmum,

I, too, am a new student of KP and have been researching various treatment options for my 6 year old daughter. Thanks to the recommendations on this wonderful site, her moderate facial KP has reduced by about 60-70%!

In a nutshell, while Eucerin and KP Duty did a good job reducing the redness, they did very little to reduce the bumps. We added Yummi Bears 3-6-9 to our regimen 2 weeks ago (thank you Parent's Corner!) and the results have been dramatic. The bumps have shriveled to the point where they can be felt, but not easily seen - I now have to tilt her face and get the light just right in order to see much of anything at all!

From the hours I've spent here, it seems that you're on the right track - I just wanted to relate my excellent luck with the Omega 3-6-9s. I'm also grateful for the tip about Yummi Bears - they're plant (not fish) based, so they really are yummy! Makes life much easier. I couldn't find the 3-6-9s at any of my local vitamin shops, so I Googled and ordered online.

Best of luck to your son!
