New to KP, mum of 2yr old, what works for you?

Hi
Just got back from my doctors and am not pleased!

He mumbled something about 'eczema like rash' and threw a perscription for a topical steroid cream at me.
You can safely imagine how frustrated I was, so I did a quick search and found that she more than likely has KP, she has small white goose bumps on her thighs upper arms and cheeks.

I have just stuffed the steroid cream in the bin as i never hadany intention of using it on my 2yr old's skin.

Now i am left sifting through the miriad of remedies on the forum, so any pointers you lovly mums have would make me a very happy bunny.

So far i have heard about apple cider vinegar, and exfoliation, but will trudge on!

Thanks all.

Hi Mum,

Welcome to the KP Forum. I don't have a small child, so can't help you directly, but from what I have read on this forum for children, moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! Young skin is very tender, as I'm sure you know, so don't try any of the acid or AHA type remedies. Even exfoliation is probably too much, unless it is very gently washing with oatmeal.

I hope some other moms reply to you to share their experience with you. Please post again with comments or questions.
