Apple Cider Vinegar for kids
Hi Parents
![]() Today, someone posted about a treatment that I have totaly forgotten about. It is ACV!! It is topically applied, which means you can apply it over your kids's skin. This works as a "toner". ![]() They also talk about ingesting it, but I think that it doesn't suit our children cause it's going to taste pretty bad and as you know, we have to choose long term treatments. ![]() Here is the thread:I didnt even know what it was, but ITS ALL GONE NOW!!! In another thread, they talk about using a specific brand that is unpasteurized, Braggs. Here is the link to that post:Thread Devoted to What Works For You Here is another thread that talks about natural remedies and ACV uses:Cheapest Treatment :) I'm opening a poll to see how many people have used ACV as part of their treatment. The poll is located in the Polls Forum (Click here). You can also find it if you click on the Forums link. It is in the top of every page in the blue neon bar. ![]() See you guys ![]() |

Re: Apple Cider Vinegar for kids
hello all, i just joined the board yesterday but i have been lurking for a cppl of months. My son is 21 months and has KP on the back of his arms, thighs, and a lil on his face. We have tried, aqauaphor, cetaphil, Eucerin and nothing really helps. We stopped using Johnson's and johnson's products and now use burt's bee's and Dove for the bath. It's recently got a a lil worse, and my husband is very ANAL about how he looks. i read this thread and tried Organic ACV in a squirt bottle with distilled water about 40% ACV and 60% Water, he cries and fussed when i put it on him for like a minute. Is this a normal reaction? I trie dit on my skin where i have a small break out and it just felt cold.
Have you noticed much of a difference in your child? I'm also putting Coconut oil, on after, and that seemed to help the night itching. |

Re: Apple Cider Vinegar for kids
gynnabean - have you tried using no soaps or cleansers on his limbs or anywhere he has KP? Unless he's getting into something really greasy/dirty I have a hard time imagining he needs much soap at 21 months. Ceasing use of that stuff can really calm it down for some of us and then if you do that for a while you'll be starting at ground zero, kwim?
Also, maybe he just hates the smell. How about dipping a cotton ball in the ACV mix and patting it on the areas? not as fast for you but then it might not get in the air so much. just a thought... - bd |

bunnyday i was thinking the same thing, i think it's more of the smell...i'm going to try that tonight, thank you so much. I'll try out using less soap and see how that works out for us. Thank you!

Re: Apple Cider Vinegar for kids
Hi...I recently tried the ACV on my 8 year old daughter and she will not let me put it on her unless I beg her. It does not burn her or anything, but she tells me she can not stand the smell. It is really strong. I'm thinking maybe this is the problem you are experiencing also. I finally gave up on the ACV, but I am going to post something else that seems to be working for us right now on another thread.
