KP and Puberty?
Hi...just wondering if you all have found that KP gets worse during puberty? My daughter is going through many bodily changes physically and her KP is also going crazy it seems. Does anyone know if it will get better following puberty? Thanks for any input.

Re: KP and Puberty?
Hi Tyfamom:
Many people show/"develop" KP at teenage years like your daughter. Others show KP after pregnancy (like me). Hopefully your daughter sees an improvement after puberty, like many I know. I suggest you begin to teach her to eat healthy, drink lots of water to detox her body for impurites and toxins. Also, exercise is great and maybe she can expose to sun for 10 minutes in the morning. She'll need a strict regime from now on so her skin will look healthy and she'll be healthy too ![]() |

Re: KP and Puberty?
Thanks so much for the reply and encouragement. She has actually had it since she was 8 months old, but it is worse now that she is reaching puberty. I do think diet has some effect on it, also, since I notice it worse when I see her eating things like chocolate. I will continue to help her deal with it...just don't understand why they haven't come up with a cure for this yet! The trial and error of trying to find something that works gets so frustrating as everyone here knows. Thanks again for your suggestions and concern.

Re: KP and Puberty?
It was during puberty that I "developed" my KP. In my case, it did get slightly better afterwards. Just tell your daughter to hang in there! Good wishes to her.

Re: KP and Puberty?
my daughter is also the same age and some of her legs seem to be getting better but it still gets very angry
they reckon it could disappear in puberty? would be good if it did |

Re: KP and Puberty?
I'm thirteen and have KP.
I've found that my KP is no better or worse since starting puberty, although sometimes it's a little redder than usual when I'm on my period. |
