My 2 1/2 yr old is starting to get KP on his arms
I feel terrible knowing that this is b/c of me. So far his isn't red...just little bumps. I'm hoping he'll at least be lucky and it will stay that way. Hopefully i'll be able to teach him to not be self conscience about it like I am not.

Re: i'm sad

Hi Catmaru,

Welcome to the KP Forum. I, too, gave KP to my son, so I share your distress. Have you checked out the thread, "What Works for Children"? We don't have too many posts there, yet, but as more success stories come in, we will add to it. If you find something that helps your son, please share it with us on that thread. Keep in touch.

Hi catmaru - me too. that is, my son shows a slight tendency toward it but it's very mild. honestly, there's so much some of us can do to help ourselves, whatever you can learn here thru the years, you'll be able to share with him. I started him on chewable omega-3 as he doesn't get much at all from his diet. that has helped him almost entirely, just as it helps his father. (bonus: it also helps his brain a bit) we just have to struggle with dry weather sometimes si we bathe him less in the winter. chin up, girl - bd

Re: i'm sad

My daughter 20 months, has had what I believe to be pretty bad bumps on arm and legs since 1 yrs old. The bumps on the legs are red but not the arms. She has two small patches on the sides of her face too. I have a very very mild version, worse on my legs. I never gave it any thought until she got these. I really wonder if milk played a role. She was on soy formula. If it is due to a sensitivity to some food, it could be anything. I will get her tested, I just haven't done much research on it. I started using an exfoliant and some after bath oil. But not results yet, it's only been a week. Make sure you post if you find something that works.
