Hi -

My 11 y.o. has mild KP on her face and major KP on her upper arms. We've used a few misc AHA and glycolic products and they really didn't change anything. Using Amlactin actually burned my daughter's face, so that was returned to the store. Ick!

So, three questions:
- anyone have experience with Carmol urea cream? Our Dermo suggested it.
- also, the MD said that the KP on her arms is so bad because she's been using a Loofah, and to never exfoliate (he said no one would exfoliate extremely dry skin, and KP is SUPER dry skin). Has anyone ever received that advice?
- I'd love some advice on what actually works for pre-teens with KP.

maybe she eats too much sweets, wheat, dairy... that usually triggers kp dont exfoliate with a loofa just follow my advice on eating right and a kid that young should be be getting alot of excersice so make sure she gets enough! also slather on tons of udder cream it is a form of NATURAL lactic acids when it's natural there should be no burning irritation. I hear that using things that arent so harsh on younger skin work better.
