Any and all advice appreciated

Hey everyone!
I am so happy to find this site. My 14 year old son has been suffering from a red facial rash for years. He has KP on arms, shoulders, thighs but was never diagnosed with it on his face. We have been to several dermatologists and have tried every possible topical ointment made OTC and prescribed. He has the bumps, flushing and constant redness on his forehead, cheeks, jawline and chin. His skin on his eyebrows is so itchy he practically has no eyebrows due to the rubbing. He is currently on a steroid cream and oral Oracea. Nothing works!!!!
Please help!
Sherri

Sherri,

If no one replies here, read everything you can on this forum and start trying different remedies. One remedy may work for one but not for another, so you need to find what works for your son. I hope you find help for him here.

I have read in the blogs using coconut oil. WHere can you get this. ALso, milk products. Does this mean lotions with lactic acid in it?

Coconut oil can be purchased at natural food stores or health food stores. If they don't carry it, ask them to order it. Also, you can order on line. In the US, Mountain Rose has a reasonably priced virgin coconut oil that also has a very nice flavor. Google them to find their web page.

Milk products? Do you mean sour cream, yogurt, etc., or lotions that have a milk product as an ingredient?
