Something that helped my 6 year old daughter....
My daughter was diagnosed with Keratosis Pilaris a while back. Her ped. prescribed elidel which I refused to give her. I began exfoliating her skin everyother night with Head & Shoulders intensive treatment (blue bottle). I also used Dove soap with olive oil for the rest of the areas that weren't affected with KP. After she got out of the tub I applied Hydrocortisone LOTION. Just a thin layer of it. She also takes acidophilus daily.
As of today her KP is almost all gone. The ones on her belly and back are completly gone. The ones are her upper arms are barely noticeable. She is still taking the acidophilus but the H&S exfoliating I only do once a week now. Hope this helps someone. At the beginning of the treatment the KP was really bad. ETA ~ She was diagnosed on 10/22/07 with KP and was previously diagnosed with Mulloscum something ? which we were using Aldara cream for but it only helped a little bit.
