Re: mom with skin problem

Hi - some moms have had luck increasing their calcium intake by a lot - especially if they breastfed. I don't remember the exact deal but calcium helps with the vitamin A utilization I believe or there's something between the 2. You can search the boards for "Calcium" (see the "Search" link at the top of this page.) Also, I realized after reading through a lot of posts in archives that I didn't get enough EFAs for years after my son was born. Increasing the EFAs has given me definite progress but I can't say it works in all cases. Some people respond well to increases in vitamin A but do it with foods and beta-carotene cause straight vitamin A can be dangerous in high doses. Dietary changes and various forms of exfoliation are common threads in people's success stories, also the right topical can be important as some aggravate KP and some help and that can vary from person to person too... Good luck! - bd
