My 2 1/2 year old son was just diagnosed with KP. His pediatrician suggested that at the end of his bath to rub salt (table, kosher, any...) on his affected areas, then rub him down in Amlactin. Has anyone ever heard of using salt or tried it? I tried kosher salt tonight and it made his little arms so red I couldn't think of trying it on his face.
Any other suggestions for the exfoliating phase? What have been others' results with the Amlactin? THANKS from a worried Mom! |
