new here, microdermabrasion??

Hello,
I am new to this site. Like you, I am tired of the docs telling me my son has to "live with it" and "this will go away with age". BS! He was born with it on his face and is now 11 and still has it. He has slight scaring, like acne will leave and I will not ignore it like the docs say. They do not ignore acne so why this????
Has anyone tried microdermabrasion? Did it help? What about AHA's?
I have tried Murad Vitamin C night cream. It really did help for a few years but now I think he needs something stronger. What do you think?

Thank you for your imput.

don´t become desperate...that´s the secret i know it´s frustrating but stick to a routine and be constant. i live in pnama and i had to take my daughter to miami to a dermatologist because, as incredible as it may seem here it isn´t a common condition.
she prescribed short baths, an d a routine with cetaphil soap, and several creams such as Trixera from Avéne and another one to alternate it with called glytone KP kit. when it gets worse i use acclovate that is a think hidrocortisone in minos concentration .
my daughter has improved a lot you just have to know that ther have good and bad days with their skin and you have to teach them that it´s not the end of the world, and the Will get better with time

Thank you for your reply. My doctor, just yesturday suggested the over the counter microdermabrasion kit from the local drug store. I think I will try it as well. It could not hurt.

I am back, when my son uses the neutrogena microderm kit it seems to help. Does nto cure in the least but does clense some of the whiteheads away. Still in search of something better.

I have used that cream, it is so thick I was afraid it would clog his pores. Since it is on his face, I am very careful. Has anyone tried this one their face?
