Treating kids with KP...
I have two young children, both who have KP.
My daughter is almost 4, and has severe KP on her legs, stomach and back. My son is 1 and has very mild KP all over his body, including his face..although I predict that it will become more severe as he gets older..as my daughter's was very mild at his age as well. We have not received much advice when it comes to treatment from anyone (including the kid's doctors). I am thankful to have found this site, and will gratefully accept any advice anyone can offer. =) |

I thought KP gets better as kids get older. Anyone heard anything about this?

I have had KP for as long as I can remember - certainly by the time I started school I had it bad (I remember the nasty comments!)
I have heard it gets better with age however I am 30 and it is still very much there - however the coverage has reduced - used to have it on my face, arms, chest but now it is only on arms - although in certain lights you can see little bumpy bits still on my chest and cheeks but they are very mild and not red so I don;t really notice them. I have two little kids 4 and 2. Ashleigh (4) developed KP about a year ago and as yet we have not seen any on her little brother (fingers crossed) Ashleigh unfortunately has it really bad on her face and arms, and a little on her chest. I worry about her as I know what it was like going through teenage years with it, and her's appears to be much worse already than mine was. Poor little thing! I have just started using Koru kp Oleum(special stuff containg extra virgin coconut oil as main ingredient) and a cream Koru Lacteem(milkd AHA) on her. It is all natural and safe and made here in New Zealand. I am hoping to get some sucess with thbis as I don't want to be using anythning to heavy on her tender young skin. I am going to try it on me to! Will let you know how it goes ![]() |

My son is 12 and has bumps/white spots on his face since he was born. Not fun at all. When he plays sports, his face flairs up and always turns red. Since he is a 12 yr old boy, he has it allthe time. I would love some help. I am not so concerned about the blushing. Just the pimply bumps.
