There is no side effects, its not a medication or drug, a probiotic is the good bacteria that inhibits your gastrointestinal system naturally. It's just that certain factors will wipe out this protective layer of good bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract leading to skin conditions.

I understand that your baby doesn't have eczema but the majority of skin conditions have been produced in the same way-always extending from problems within the digestive tract

Shelley -- Have you tried washing your child's face with Basis facial wash? It's made by Johnson & Johnson and is soap-free. It has been highly recommended by my dermatologist, and has worked very well for my daughter. It's free of drying ingredients that could make the condition worse.
