Mom of 9yr old son with KP with questions.
I have a 9yr old son who has always had skin problems. I asked about the white bumps on his arms and the pediatrician said most likely it as KP. He said to bring him back if it got worse because it had some thing to do with protein in his body and the pancreas. Has anyone ever been told that the pancreas affects skin like this? I am taking him into the doctors soon because it has gotten a lot worse in the past month. His entire back part of both arms are just covered in the bumps. They don't bother him, but these sure look like they should.
What is the best way to treat the bumps? I've read a few posts here, but I need to read a lot more. Thank you for any advice that anyone can give me. I had no idea that this site existed until I sat down tonight to find some answers. |

I've never been told anything about the pancreas. I haven't read it either. Apparently there's a product for children called ABC (by Arbon). I read it in some other posts, but you'll have to do a search for it, because I'm not sure where. You might give it a try. I'm going to try the adult stuff as soon as it arrives... Weird about the pancreas, though. Hmmm...

I've never heard anything about pancreas, either.
You should do your own research on KP because doctors are notoriously under informed on the subject. Also, the product is called ABC (Arbonne Baby Care) and is for anyone (babies, children, and adults with sensitive skin). If you've tried to search for it with the wrong spelling you may not have found it... It really helped my 3 yr old! I wasn't using it specifically for KP, so I didn't take any before or after pics of her. I just noticed one day she didn't have any bumps! Other people have said the same thing on this forum, so look around. If you're interested in ordering it, check out my post called "clearing up with arbonne" in the general forum. It's mostly about the adult products, but the ordering process is the same.![]() |

The ABC line helped my little girl's Eczema, too. I had used Elidel on her, which has now been taken off the market! I know another lady who's son had Eczema/KP and you can't even tell it now. I love the ABC Body Oil...it is my favorite.
