2 yr old with severe case

I have a 2 yr old who has a severe case of kp. Any suggestions? Please help! We have been to the Dermatologist, tried everything under the sun from Cetaphil, Neutrogena, exfoliating, Eucerin, Vanicream, Aveeno, aquaphor, Amlactin lotion ect.. The dermatologist just says, she is too young right now and not to exfoliate. She also has ezcema at times on her legs. Her kp is all over her face, buttocks, total arms and total legs.

I use the Carmol 20 with great results but the dermatologist said it would be too strong for her. The pharmacy sells it without a prescription in two different strengths Carmol 10 and Carmol 20. I use it 3 times a day. You should wait about 30 mins after showering as it could cause stinging. I haven't had any problems with it and it does smooth well. (Also, I too did not have this problem until I got pregnant with her, strange?)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all for your time and efforts. Hope to hear from you soon.

May help, may not...

I am also a mother of a two-year old little girl. I used Arbonne Baby Care on her to clear her Eczema and I use the NutriminC Body Care System for my KP. Arbonne is botanically based, hypoallergenic, pH correct, and Dermatologist tested. I became a Consultant for Arbonne after seeing the difference it makes in skin. For more info, you can go to my website... http://JanaeMitchell.myArbonne.com. I am not 'pushing' something because I sell it...I am selling something because I know that the products do what they say they will do. I hope the info on my sight helps some, since I know how you feel, being a mother, too.

Thank you Jane

Thank you for your reply. I visited your website and I will consider it. I just have a question. Since my daughter has mostly kp, can I use this on her. The baby care line has the oil, but it states good for ezcema. I was a little unsure or confused if I can use this on a 2 almost 3 yr old.

Thank you again.

You can...

Arbonne's products are botanically-based, hypoallergenic, and pH correct, so you can use it on your little girl. I don't know how the NutrimenC Body Care line would do on her face, though, because I have never used it on my face. I use the NutriminC anti-aging line on my face, which has a serum like the body serum, except it is made for the face. The only products that I would not use on her would be the Exfoliating Masque with Thermal Fusion, or any of the masks for that matter...she doesn't need them. Pretty much anything else would be fine for her. And even if you didn't use the Body Wash, I think it is the Serum and the Lotion that work so well together. And, if you were to get something to try, and didn't like it, you can just call 1-800-Arbonne within 45 days and tell them you didn't like the results, and they will give you your money back, or replace it with something else. If you do buy some, I hope you see results like I have. I still see the tiny red spots sometimes, not all the time, but my skin is smooth. If you have any questions, just let me know!

I, too began selling Arbonne, because it worked for me. I use the Prolief cream for hormone control (Hormone imbalance triggers KP), and the Foaming Body Wash, Body Serum, and Body Lotion from the NutriminC RE9 line to control breakouts. I've seen really good results! I have photos if you'd to see them, go to my post, "Before and After Pictures are Here". They also have a children's line called "ABC" that includes body wash, lotion, oil, sunscreen, and even a diaper rash cream. It only took the wash and sunscreen to heal my daughter, but her KP was mild. You can go to their website www.arbonne.com and order it, but you have to have a consultant.
If you decide to use the Arbonne products, you should sign up as a consultant, too. You get a 35% discount on everything and there are no quotas or hidden strings attached. It's sort of like a Sam's Club membership: you pay your $29 membership fee and get a year of discounted products (35-80% off)! If you don't already know an Arbonne consultant, you can use me: just refer to my thread "Clearing up with arbonne". Let me know if it helps you!

Love, Love, Love

If you can send me some photos, I would greatly appreciate it! I never thought anything about Arbonne helping my KP, so I didn't take any pics of before/after. My email is janae1823@aol.com and my arbonne website is http://janaemitchell.myarbonne.com. Thanks!

Hi. My daughter is almost 4 years old & has had KP since around 18 mos old. I, too had tried so many different creams! She has it on her upper arms, thighs, her behind, and her cheeks are red. I recently started using the Bathy & Body Works Pure Simplicity Sensitive Skin Calming Face Cream-Soy on all of her KP spots, including her face. It's $18.50 1.7oz jar. This stuff is AWESOME! I cannot believe how quickly I saw results & made her skin silky & soft- within 1 - 2 days! It minimized the bumps & felt smooth. Plus she has very sensitive skin, and this is non-irritating. I like using it on my face, too, it's so gentle & creamy! When I first went in there, they took some cream out of the sample jar & put it in a disposable container & I went home & tried it on her. Plus, they have a good return policy if you use a little of it & you don't like it, you can return it.

Another thing I like is Glysolid cream. This is not as silky as the Bath & Body, but still good stuff. It's more gel-like and thicker.
Currently, they have an offer for free sample size (but not tiny) tube, you just pay $2.95 shipping.

The key is to put this on faithfully every am & night. When I skip a day, it gets worse. Her once red cheeks (that people used to say, "oh she's so cute with her rosy cheeks"---not!) are now red free!

Of course everyone is different, but I have found these 2 products to be really gentle for my daughter. They have smoothed out the skin & reduced redness. Hope it helps!!

I am currently trying the Bath and Body products mentioned above. I started 2 days ago. I'll let you know if it helps my son's skin. He has a pretty severe case. Thanks!
