I am not sure if this is what my son has, but since 4mos old he has had rashy looking spots on his cheeks. They aren't always bad, and my ped. has always attributed it to teething. He has been teething since then, and continues to drool from it, as he gets his two year molars in, but the rash has never gone away. I question whether it is KP or not because there aren't a ton of bumps, and they aren't always white filled bumps. Can anyone steer me in the right direction? He doesn't have it anywhere else on his body, either. I have an appt with a dermatologist for him, but not until end of June. Does anyone have any pictures so I can see if this is in fact KP? I have just been using aveeno on his cheeks, but never sure if it does any good. Thanks!

Hi, my son started showing it just before he turned 1 years old and after all kinds of remidies the dermatologist just said that it is not curable, if you have a close look at the hair folicle you will see that is seems "blocked" and in my sons case it has a little white hard "something" that if I took it between my nails I could actualy pull it out and the folicle would be unblocked. He also has it on his upper arms but there are more pimpily than the dry ones on his face, i just treat his face with anibiotic cream and that seems to keep thing lessen but not away. My dermatologist just gave him one look and said he had KP and that there was nothing that I can do about it, of course I was most upset as I believe there must be something out there, but have not yet found anything

I am from South Africa and havent really found anyone here that knows much about this.
