KP and sleeping patterns

My two year old son was diagonsed with KP a couple weeks ago. Since then, and a couple weeks before that, his sleeping pattern has been rocked. He goes to sleep at this usual time, but a couple times a night he wakes up plays in his crib, then gets frustrated that he is awake. He can easily be awake for a couple hours at a time. So, I wondering if anyone else has experienced a child's sleep being disrupted around the time that you learned he/she had KP..?

Thanks.

Beth
