Hello,
I am a first time mom with a 7 1/2 month old with KP and very rosy cheeks. I forgot the term for it now.
Right now she looks adorable with her rosy cheeks and you can barely see the KP, but what about when she gets older? Will they get more noticable?

I dont know much about this condition but are there any tips on how to treat and handle this?

Hi Jennifer-

This is a great place to read about other people who have also gone through this. When my son was diagnosed at age one it was a relief to get some tips and pointers from this board when the doctor could really tell me nothing.

Sounds like your daughter is fortunate and has a minor case of it. At this point you should only need to moisturize and don't use any harsh products to wash her. Use a gentle wash like Cetaphil or the like and some moms like to use an oil like sweet almond oil directly after the bath, Also maybe a couple times a day use a good moisturizer like Cetaphil Cream, Eucerin Cream, Aveeno, etc. I find that the creams have a longer lasting affect than the runnier lotions.

As for the future it is anyone's guess, it could stay the same, go away, or get worse. Just keep a positive attitude and enjoy your beautiful baby.
