So its not Eczema!!
Well well well, I knew there was something dodgy about the derm nurse who tried to tell me that my baby had eczema!! It looked nothing like eczema adn doenst and has never irritated my daughter. They wanted me to bath her twice a day in this special gunk and then cream her up 5/7 times a day!! Well I never put us through that (althoguh I am sorry that some chidlren who suffer with severe eczema have to go through that!). Do you know what I think they over excagerated doing this beucase I kept saying I dont believe you've analysed her right, and hey what do you know another mum who does know best!! lol I am just so glad that I can put a name to Chloes condition, she is 3yrs and 7mths andalhtough it has never irritated her, she has jsut noticed it and other adults have always looked at he sympathetically and eventhough Ive tried not to let it bother me, I have thought, oh poor thing I hope it gets better before she beocmes self conscious. Well I guess we'll have to wait and see. It started when Chloe was 3mths old and is mainly or her upper arms, but back then till she was about 12mths, she had it on her cheeks, very mildly, she does have it a littel on her thighs, but really after reading through the forums, Chloe hs it very mild, you can see it if you look on her arms, but she;s a red head anyway so her skin does have that pink look to it. Its more a case of when you touch her, then it feels sooooo rough.
Ok, well thats me - Paula and my wee one Chloe, I also have a son who jsut turned 2yrs andmy goodnes he has the softess skin, gorgeous. I am 3wks from giving birth to my third and so we'll have ot wait and see what happens there.
Hello to everyone, glad to have found you all
