I lived in a therapy community where many people had eating disorders and so I was put on a "food plan" which was no sugar and no white flour. No cheating either! I did this for more than three years, but my KP did not go away. I have to admit it is an Excellent way to eat -- very healthy -- I felt great, but my KP did not go away! I thought it might be a dairy allergy, so I tried no dairy, but my KP still did not go away.

KP probably is a systemic problem, but I don't think it can be cured with one method only, ie, pharamceuticals only or healthy-living only. The remedy will probably be a combination.... but I know this -- I tried so many things: several mds, one derm in Germany rx'd the tanning booth, all different creams, I've lived in hot and cold climates, and I still have KP. I may always have it, at least I don't hate myself for it anymore.

Check out on the internet diets for people who have GOUT, which means you should avoid all Flesh/Meats, 75% of everyone has some degree of gout which cause Kidney/Liver damage and arthritis.
