Hi MolsMom, I am interested in trying the regime that is working for your daughter, but where can I get Epilpt from and what is it? Also, where did you get your sweet almond oil? I know Burt's Bee makes a bath/body oil with sweet almond oil as its main ingredient, but it has other things in it too. Is the sweet almond oil you have 100% pure? Thanks so much! |

You can get Epilyt at most pharmacies and at Walmart over the counter. It was around $10-12 and a little goes a long way, a bottle will last you quite awhile. Epilyt contains-propylene glycol, glycerin, oleic acid, quaternium 26, lactic acid, and bht. It has a very runny consistency. The sweet almond oil is thicker, and I will be very honest, greasy. You only need to use a little bit of this daily. The sweet almond oil you can buy from any place that sells soapmaking supplies online (wholesalesuppliesplus.com, Columbus Foods (which has a soapers section, etc) and also at health/vitamin stores. The sweet almond oil I buy has nothing else in it (fragrances, etc) and I buy mine in large quantities as I also use this in my soapmaking. My daughter alternates how she uses the epilyt and sweet almond oil, and really, it depends on her mood, on which one she is going to use that night. She only uses these at night, after she has her shower and right before she goes to bed. We only use homemade soap, nothing from the stores, as I think detergent based bars are defeating the purpose with Mols skin especially. We are trying to keep the moisture in her skin, not drying it out even further. On occasion, she uses a tea tree cream instead of the sweet almond oil or epilyt, that we bought at a vitamin shop. Its also very moisturizing, has a medicinal smell to it, but if anything it gives her a change of pace. Its from Herbal Authority. Best of luck, MolsMom Hi MolsMom, I am interested in trying the regime that is working for your daughter, but where can I get Epilpt from and what is it?
