This is the second story I've heard about CoQ10 curing KP but clearly we all have different nutritional needs. MSM works for some and it appears CoQ10 does too. The other supplement that I think could be significant is Vitamin A. If long term use of Retin-A on the arms and legs can totally remove KP (as several people have said) then it suggests that Vitamin A is strongly linked to KP.
