Have not seen these treatments mentioned yet...

Hello fellow sufferers and survivors. I have KP and have the same trouble with indifferent dermatologists. My own pursuit of a cure has lead me to these treatments not yet mentioned. On Ebay you can get a Microdermabrasion Cloth that has helped to improve my KP by exfoliating. It is very cheap, washable, and resuable. Simply search Microdermabrasion on Ebay and you'll see it. It has not cured me though, and scrubbing too much is not recommended. Also, I have tried Lac-Hydrin and Carmol - both of which also helped but has not cured. I just found a new lotion called Betamide that can be purchased without a prescription at Walmart or Target and contains Urea and Lactic Acid. It can be found on the web at http://www.beta-derm.com/skincare.htm the phone number is at the bottom of the page. And I also found a website that you can purchase Retin-A or Renova for very cheap and you don't need a prescription. The company is based in Costa Rica. http://www.horizondrugs.com I swear to you that I am in no way trying to solicite these companies or products, I simply came across them. My KP is on my arms and face. I have very coarse, curly hair and it seems fine, coiled hairs are causing ingrown hair bumps on my arm. I have tried peels, and ingrown hair products similar to and including Tendskin. I have yet to try sulfar soaps and a few other things mentioned in this forum, but i will. I have even in desparation scratched my skin with a razor till it bled, only to have a scar with more KP bumps on it. (Please don't try that yourselves!)I also "faked and baked" - didn't work either. I haven't given up hope yet though. You guys shouldn't either. I hang on to the possibility that one day it will go away. Each of us are composed of different genetic makeups and it only makes sense that there are different cures for different people. Until the medical community can give us more support, our only resort is this site. May God bless the person that put it together for us! Regards - F |

This website seems to go offline often, but its only 11.95 for an 8 oz bottle here. Its available in 16oz now too. http://www.devoll.com/Sunscreen/Lotion.htm Contains two active ingredents 25% Urea 4% Latic Acid Will penetrate dry hard skin and 'Retain Moisture' Recommended for Keratosis Polaris. If you want a pharmacy to order it for you, the McKessen cataloge number is #1156769. Like I said before, I'm in no way affiliated with anyone of these people and make no claim to what happens. I'm just sharing what I find on the Internet. :-) |
