Dead Sea Products

Hi everyone! I was recently diagnosed with KP after being told I had exczema and atopic dermatitis for the past five years...I was so excited to find such a great site with people who share my passion for finding a cure for this annoying disorder...

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone's tried products derived from the Dead Sea...like salts or creams containing the salts/minerals found in the Dead Sea...the reason I bring this up is because my friend's brother had kp on his arms, and after bathing in the Dead Sea, his skin cleared right up. Now...whether or not it was really kp, that's the question. But, I noticed that there are a lot of products out there that have Dead Sea salts/minerals in them, and they claim to cure many skin disorders...has anyone tried anything like this? Just thought I would ask because I think I am going to try some and was wondering if I would just be wasting my money...

I have been drinking tons of water recently and I noticed my skin is better as a result...so, if all else fails, keep your body hydrated!!

Take care...Cynthia

I've used bath salts that were supposedly from the Dead Sea. They made for a nice bath, but they didn't cure my KP.

Salts are supposed to be soft on the skin, as long as you don't sit in the tub for too long, lol. I really enjoy bath salts due to the different fragrances you can add to them, and find them relaxing. As you said, its great to drink water and keep yourself hydrated, which would also help the skin.
